Reflection: I enjoyed the extra credit assignment; it helped me improve my writing skills and ability to rephrase information from reliable academic sources. Besides, by editing topics relevant to my research paper, I can share the knowledge I have learned throughout the course. Contributing to the Wikipedia platform gave me a sense of belonging to a global community that values knowledge sharing and collective learning. The second article I edited was Reputation management. Here is the diff of my edit. I learned that big data has the potential to be employed in overseeing and enhancing the reputation of organizations.

Reflecting on the Wikipedia extra credit assignment, my overall experience was enlightening and rewarding. Through this assignment, I learned the importance of neutrality and verifiability in Wikipedia articles. As for whether I intend to continue editing on Wikipedia, the answer is a resounding yes. The experience has ignited a newfound passion for contributing to open knowledge platforms.

Week 7/Jrxijown edit

The first article I edited was Louvre, and there is the diff. I learned that the Louvre is not only a witness to history but also a participant in the making of it as Paris readies for the 2024 Olympics. The museum is hosting an exhibition that showcases the continuity and evolution of the Olympic spirit from its ancient origins to the present. Additionally, I discovered that the museum's connection to the Olympics extends beyond the exhibit, as its grounds will actively be part of the Olympic marathon route, integrating its cultural legacy with the vitality of the Games.

The second article I edited was aldi, and there is diff. From the advertising strategies used by Aldi, I learned that the company employs a diverse range of advertising methods across different countries, including television, newspapers, online platforms, and special campaigns like the Kevin the Carrot Christmas adverts in the UK. Working on the Wikipedia extra credit was interesting but tough, and it taught me a lot about how online information is managed. I learned how important it is to be correct and careful when adding information. I might not keep editing on Wikipedia because it takes a lot of time and work to make sure everything is right. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jrxijown (talkcontribs) 03:59, 28 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
