Proposed deletion of Magic Hour (song) edit

The article Magic Hour (song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Proposed deletion of The Recluse (Plan B song) edit

The article The Recluse (Plan B song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NSONG: Allegedly a single but still unreleased, not charted, no covers by other notable acts, no awards, no video, no media coverage (one of the two refs in article is to a recording studio which apparently did an e-mail interview with the artist). No reference, RS or otherwise, for release date.

Nomination of The Recluse (Plan B song) for deletion edit

A discussion has begun about whether the article The Recluse (Plan B song), which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Recluse (Plan B song) until a concensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 11:52, 10 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your re-creation of The Recluse (Plan B song) has been reverted per the closure at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Recluse (Plan B song). I am not aware of anything changing since that discussion; the song is no more notable now than it was two weeks ago. I notice that you neither participated in that discussion nor provide any kind of edit summary when replacing the redirect. It's hard to see how you are working with the rest of the WP community when you don't communicate. — JohnFromPinckney (talk) 11:27, 23 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Declined speedy deletion of Charmaine (rap song) edit

Hi Ellm6. Thank you for your work on patrolling pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I just wanted to inform you that I declined to delete Charmaine (rap song), a page that you tagged for speedy deletion under criterion A9 because of the following concern: The artist of the song is notable and has an article, making the song ineligible for speedy deletion under criterion A9. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion and especially what is considered non-criteria. In future you should rather tag such pages for proposed deletion or start an appropriate deletion discussion. TheCatalyst31 ReactionCreation 00:01, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Plan B - Writings on the Wall.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Plan B - Writings on the Wall.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 05:03, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Damon Albarn discography, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Terry Hall and London Town (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hi. I noticed that you suggested that my Plan B articles be deleted. I created those articles as I felt the were notable enough and that many fans could benefit from knowing about those mixtapes (in particular Paint it Blacker as that is the most advanced & informed article). --Djjazzyb (talk) 01:14, 29 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for May 14 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited CamelPhat, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Kevin Andrews and In and Out of Love (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

References for CamelPhat remixes edit

Hey. Thanks for your recent help fleshing out CamelPhat's discography. When doing this, though, can you please provide references for the singles and remixes (in line with the remixes that were already in the article before you started fleshing it out)? This saves someone else (e.g., me) having to search online for proof of these existing and adding the references in.AlligatorSky (talk) 10:32, 14 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use online stores as sources for genres edit

As you did on several CamelPhat articles. iTunes, Beatport, etc. are online stores that (usually) broadly categorise genres. They are not considered acceptable to use when sourcing contentious things like a song's genre(s), so please don't use them for this purpose. Thanks. Ss112 20:41, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Can you explain why, according to guidelines, an online store is not acceptable as a source for a song's genre? It seems like the ideal source for this. And how is a song's genre contentious? It is quite straightforward. Rather than remove the genres, can you recommend a better source that is acceptable in your view? Beatport specializes in electronic dance music downloads, so they are accurate with genre categorization. You should change it back. Ellm6 (talk) 23:30, 6 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Images of Plan B (musician) edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Images of Plan B (musician) indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read!
