Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Robert Falcon Scott, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Well, thank you Mr Gallacher for that remarkably condescending notice to an established editor of 6 years and 40,000 edits. As I noted in my edit summary, that move was according to the WP:COMMONNAME guideline and WP:BRD. So cheers for that. DBD 10:32, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

I don't know about you too...

...but I think you are right. I said to Glasshouse, the user that made those monograms, that he should change the coronet of those monograms. For Example the coronet of the monogram of Diana should be coronet of the prince of wales or the coronet of prince william, Catherine and prince harry's monograms should be the coronet of a child of the heir apparent, but he didn't answer. WP:DIACRITICS

Hi DBD. I saw your name and comment here. I agree with you. To me GoodDay looks like a bit of a victim in this and I have the impression that he has largely been led and egged on in this issue. I also have the impression, which may be wrong but at the moment I have the impression, that the sort of clear guidance you describe has been kept out of WP:DIACRITICS by editors whose views of how en.wp should be is not representative how articles actually are in articles directly affected (articles on countries/people in the Latin-alphabet language zone) per Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (use English) "If this happens, follow the conventions of the language in which this entity is most often talked about (German for category:German politicians, Turkish for category:rivers of Turkey.." etc. For this reason I have proposed, on Talk at WT:MOS to add Zoë Baird as an example to WP:DIACRITICS to aid Users, rather than making a scapegoat out of GoodDay. Howdy DBD. I probably wouldn't have gotten so steamed up these last few days, bu In ictu oculi's mass page moves to diacritics weren't being halted. IMHO, all page moves should be froze, until English Wikipedia comes up with a clear directive on diacritics usage. GoodDay (talk) 23:02, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

ACNA Pittsburgh Diocese

I understand that you think the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh is "not properly Anglican"; however, your opinion doesn't matter. If by "not properly Anglican" you are referring to the authority of the Anglican Communion to determine who is "Anglican" or not, then in fact that doesn't matter either since Wikipedia does not answer to the Anglican Communion. The full name of the organization is "Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh" not "Diocese of Pittsburgh". It appears that since this is the second time you've changed the name that you feel strongly about this issue. I would invite you to discuss the name of the article on the talk page. The Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh is full Anglican as a member of the Anglican Church of North America who represents orthodox Anglicanism in North America. They are recognized as "fully Anglican" by the Church of England and are already in full communion with the Anglican churches of Nigeria, Uganda and Sudan.
