Dear BranStark

Your are the deceiver, Stop falsifying data if you truly fear God. If you truly believe that Judism is the true religion then there is no need for it. I have altered Judism because you have falsified data for Christianity and Islam. My response to you: It is foolish to listen to someone who will not listen to you. When you refrain from your ill actions, lies and propaganda then so will I. This is a taste of your own medicine, let's see how you will handle it. Btw how is Judism first, alphabetically Judism comes after Christainity and Islam. I will alter what I know to be false in order to protect the innocent reader from those with hidden agendas. See you soon, hope you hit the sandbox first,.

I am a Semite (Middle Eastern, arab). if you say I'm anti-Semite, then I will lodge a formal complaint. If you complain about the holocaust, My ancestors were killed and shared the same faith as the Jews in Germany so shead your crocodile tears elsewhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.170.49.104 (talk) 21:13, 15 April 2015 (UTC)

Looking back at my contribs, the only edit I made was to revert your change here which I don't find to be particularly constructive and certainly doesn't reflect my views on religion nor suggest I'm prejudice in any way. — BranStark (talk) 10:52, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Account Creation Interface application

Are you still interested in joining the ACC Team? We're awaiting a diff verifying that you have identified to the Wikimedia Foundation (I see that you're not yet listed on the ID noticeboard). Add your statement that you have read, understand and will comply with the Request an account Guide and the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy to a signed post here on your talk page and we'll get you approved. For now, take care, DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·ʇuoɔ) WER 15:12, 17 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi yeah, I was once very involved with ACC back when it started, I was even an admin on the tool but then I took a WikiBreak and my permissions revoked. I'm still waiting back from the Foundation on getting verified but I only emailed them yesterday so I'm happy to wait. — BranStark (talk) 15:19, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
I left your request in the pending list but another tool admin may decline it until your identification diff is posted. We've had a backlog for over a month that got, at one point, to two weeks behind and over 300 awaiting action. It's down below three days and 100 open requests now but we could use your help. I watchlisted your talk and will approve as soon as I see your post here (if another tool admin doesn't do it first). Take care, DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·ʇuoɔ) WER 16:13, 17 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi, a Steward verified me so I should be on the notice board now. I've read and agreed to the terms but I won't be active again until monday as I don't edit Wikipedia on Sundays :) — BranStark (talk) 20:36, 18 April 2015 (UTC)

"Neither ref supports claim"

I am quite sure you didn't even look at my sources before declaring that.

The very first line of my second source: Jerry Falwell is best known for crusading against abortion and homosexuality. But early on, he skillfully used race to galvanize the Christian right." http://www.thenation.com/article/agent-intolerance

A few other chocie bits: Though Falwell's influence waned in his twilight years--his approval rating among evangelicals, according to a 2006 Pew Poll, had drifted downward to 46 percent--his well-publicized gaffes continued to make him one of the most recognizable figures of the Christian right. "

"Falwell uttered countless epithets over his long life--in 1999 he warned that Tinky Winky, a character on the children's show Teletubbies, might be gay--but his most infamous remark arrived on the morning of 9/11, after the terrorist attacks, when he proclaimed, "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say, 'You helped this happen.'"" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.30.95.32 (talk) 14:36, 20 April 2015 (UTC) 192.30.95.32 (talk) 14:38, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

First of all, the "Jerry Falwell is best known for crusading against abortion and homosexuality. But early on, he skillfully used race to galvanize the Christian right." was written in tiny tiny writing so obviously I missed it. Secondly your other 'choice bits' don't suggest the guy was homophobic in anyway. However, since your pointed out the above (which I missed) the article is OK — BranStark (talk) 14:39, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Thanks! I don't mean to incite any argument or mean dialogue, I just thought that it was such a major part of who he was that it was worth mentioning in the beginning of the article - it's arguably what many people remember most about him. 192.30.95.32 (talk) 14:42, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

No worries! — BranStark (talk) 14:43, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Hello,

It appears that you have reverted my archive of this SPI case and left a generic template message. Could you please provide an explanation? Was this in error? Mike VTalk 15:30, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

I have no idea, sincerest apologies! Huggle must have screwed up somewhere! — BranStark (talk) 15:32, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Uniloc

Uniloc is a patent troll, the most oft-cited example of a patent troll. Any attempt to characterize them as anything else is disingenuous. Readers shouldn't have to scroll half way through the article to find that critical piece of information.

They (no longer) have any non-litigious business practice and to suggest that they do is patently false. To wit, of the two links you have restored, the first is content sourced directly from Uniloc itself via a self-supplied corporate profile (I think this is NPOV in wiki jargon) and the second is a broken link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.134.231.91 (talk) 15:50, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Hi BranStark,

Thanks for your welcome message. I am just getting the hang of this Wikipedia thing :)

To be transparent, I work at a company that has asked me to write their article for them on Wikipedia. I talk about this on my user page [[1]]

I have been working hard to keep everything neutral, objective and factual from reliable 3rd party sources. I was wondering if you could check out the page and see if you think it is ready to be submitted. It would be great to see if you think there are any red flags that I am missing.

Let me know what you think?

It's definitely a start, you've included plenty of sources to promote it's notability. If you feel you can't enhance it anymore, I'd say give it a go — BranStark (talk) 15:48, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Will do. Thanks for the encouragement. I will let you know how it goes.

Hi there. You can't do this[2] by the way, it violates WP:BLANKING. Cheers. --Turpin Dick (talk) 11:38, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

I'm aware of the policy, however the account was created 30 minutes ago and already 3 instances of serious vandalism have taken place, including 2 personal attacks/harassment against other editors. Despite his claims his vandalism days are over, I felt it prudent the notices remained in case (like with many such cases) his disruptive edits persist. — BranStark (talk) 11:45, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
I agree that every mainspace edit saved by the editor was vandalism and I don't excuse it. All I am saying is that length of time and number of cases are not included in the exceptions for restoration. You can restore deletion tags during discussions or block notices but not warnings. What you need to remember is that the warnings still stand regardless of whether on display. Looks to me like he's had all four so if he vandalizes once more then you can go straight to WP:AIV with links to the vandal edit and to the warnings previously issued and then you can fall silent, within a short time he'll be blocked. --Turpin Dick (talk) 17:38, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

PS. Incidentally, here is where it came to my attention, I was the last to edit there and I am watching that article because of recent vandalism. Had it not been for that, I wouldn't have witnessed the rest of the chapter. I am not affiliated to the editor. --Turpin Dick (talk) 17:40, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

Hey Bran Stark, Thank You so much for the message. I just want to know that if I made an article, so how can I remove the 'user' word in- "User:StuartMatthewHC" --StuartMatthewHC (talk) 03:54, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

@StuartMatthewHC: Unfortunately you can't remove the 'User:' prefix from pages within the userspace as pages here denote slots within a User's personal space. However when you create an encyclopaedic article in the article mainspace, the prefix will be dropped. — BranStark (talk) 10:22, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

ACC tool access request approved

BranStark, thank you for your interest in the account creation process. I have verified that you are identified to the Wikimedia Foundation and approved your request.

You may now access the interface here pending a tool root marking your account as identified in the tool database. Before you begin handling requests, please ensure you have read and understood the account creation guide and username policy to familiarise yourself with the process.

Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC mailing list following the instructions on that page. I also advise that you also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and you can get real time advice on how to handle requests.

Please note failure to correctly assess requests will result in suspension of tool access. Account creation is not a race, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Releasing personally identifying information (such as IP and email addresses), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is treated very seriously and will generally result in immediate suspension.

Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, and you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked as "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at WP:PERM/ACC.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome!  DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·ʇuoɔ) WER 18:32, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

No tool root was hanging around on IRC so I emailed them to ask that one of them set you as identified in the database. That could take up to a day. DocTree (ʞlɐʇ·ʇuoɔ) WER 18:35, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
Hey :) Welcome back - do you want me to merge your old account with your new one so you keep stats and history on the tool? [stwalkerster|talk] 18:57, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
@Stwalkerster: Hey, good to see a familiar face! Yeah, please merge my accounts, thanks — BranStark (talk) 10:22, 21 April 2015 (UTC)

Accounts merged successfully, with a small hiccup. You probably want to check your preferences are still correct. If you have any issues logging in to the tool now, please let me know. [stwalkerster|talk] 17:59, 21 April 2015 (UTC)
@Stwalkerster:I can't see any hiccup, everything seems ok to me. Thanks! — BranStark (talk) 10:24, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Please do not create pages that attack, threaten, or disparage their subject. Attack pages and files are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who create or add such material may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:43, 21 April 2015 (UTC) (Warning left in error)

Hi Branstark, it was a error involving Twinkle. Another user was using their talkpage to attack other users, but because you were the first person to edit that talkpage, Twinkle wrongly sent the warning message to you, not them. Please feel free to ignore/delete this message. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:08, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Author-blanked pages

In general, when a new article is tagged for speedy deletion, and the author of the page then blanks the page, this is taken as a good-faith effort on the part of the author to delete the offending material. We don't generally revert such edits, as you did here. Instead, we tag the newly blank page with {{db-author}} or {{db-g7}}. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:27, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

@WikiDan61: Yeah I know, with Huggle you can't see the entire history just the fact the content was removed. Normally, you get a message to alert you that you're reverting the person who created the article. Wasn't the case this time, strange. Apologies — BranStark (talk) 15:34, 1 May 2015 (UTC)

revisions may be vandalism

I opened a wikipedia page (without having signed in - in fact, I almost never sign in at all as I only read entries) and saw a notification as to having two messages. One was about changes to a page on the Kabbalah Center, which I cannot recall visiting, much less revising. As I work in a school, there may be other users who have made those changes. Otherwise I am at a loss as to what is the cause of those revisions.

reviewing my declined article

Hello BranStark, and welcome back! I do not intend to contribute regularly to Wikipedia; and so taking the course may be superfluous at this time; I just would be most appreciative should you kindly read my article: Alfred G Gerteiny, as well as the comments of the editor and, because of your expertise as a tutor, elucidate the reasons why it has been rejected again; I thought I had answered the reasons, but have obviously not. I do respect the decisions of "I Dream of Horses" and wish to correct my errors so the article can be accepted. Indeed, being un-experienced a contributor to wikipedia, I do not seem to understand what to do and how to go about resolving the issues behind the rejections. Thanks! chasehillaryChasehillary (talk) 02:52, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

This is a message from the Wikimedia Foundation. Translations are available.

As you may know, the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees approved a new "Access to nonpublic information policy" on 25 April 2014 after a community consultation. The former policy has remained in place until the new policy could be implemented. That implementation work is now being done, and we are beginning the transition to the new policy.

An important part of that transition is helping volunteers like you sign the required confidentiality agreement. All Wikimedia volunteers with access to nonpublic information are required to sign this new agreement, and we have prepared some documentation to help you do so.

The Wikimedia Foundation is requiring that anyone with access to nonpublic information sign the new confidentiality agreement by 15 December 2015 (OTRS users have until 22 December 2015) to retain their access. You are receiving this email because you have access to nonpublic information and are required to sign the confidentiality agreement under the new policy.

Signing the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information is conducted and tracked using Legalpad on Phabricator. The general confidentiality agreement is now ready, and the OTRS agreement will be ready after 22 September 2015. We have prepared a guide on Meta-Wiki to help you create your Phabricator account and sign the new agreement: Confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information/How to sign

If you have any questions or experience any problems while signing the new agreement, please visit this talk page or email me (gvarnum wikimedia.org). Again, please sign this confidentiality agreement by 15 December 2015 (OTRS users have until 22 December 2015) to retain your access to nonpublic information. If you do not wish to retain this access, please let me know and we will forward your request to the appropriate individuals.

Thank you,
Gregory Varnum (User:GVarnum-WMF), Wikimedia Foundation

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.   Hello, I'm Denniss. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Noah Jupe, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Denniss (talk) 07:29, 17 June 2020 (UTC)
