My name is Michael Gutman and I am currently the Director of Marketing at FlexJobs. I also work with other brands under the FlexJobs umbrella such as Remote.co and 1 Million for Workplace Flexibility.
When I noticed that FlexJobs and the other brands did not have a Wikipedia page, yet had handfuls of reliable 3rd party publications citing the company, I decided to see if I could create the Wikipedia article and get it published myself.
There are countless blog posts and companies that claim that in order to get an article published you must be a 3rd party contributor or you must be part of the Wikipedia community or that you must pay an agency to publish an article for you. My aim is to follow Wikipedia's guidelines as close as I can and I hope to get an article published through legitimate channels.
I am aware that as the Marketing Director of FlexJobs there is a conflict of interest. I want to make that clear and transparent. It is my mission to craft an objective, neutral and helpful article that lets people know the facts about the company and why it is notable. Nothing more.
