Notability of Westvision edit

A tag has been placed on Westvision requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. R'n'B (call me Russ) 13:29, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of "Serebryank River, Sverdlovsk Oblast" edit

A page you created, Serebryank River, Sverdlovsk Oblast, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, you removed all content from the page or otherwise requested its deletion.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Zhang He (talk) 07:36, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Serebryank River, Moscow Oblast edit

A tag has been placed on Serebryank River, Moscow Oblast requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Serebryank River, Moscow Oblast edit

I deleted Serebryank River, Moscow Oblast because it looks like a misspelling. I didn't move it to Serebryanka River, Moscow Oblast because there was no content (just a {{stub}} template). If you plan to beef it up like you did to Serebryanka River, Sverdlovsk Oblast, feel free. If not, it's often better to have a red link than a contentless article, as it is more likely to catch the eye of someone who can write it later. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:39, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Codeshare agreements edit

Hi,

I have reverted your edits to Ukraine International Airlines and S7 Airlines. You put the flags next to the carriers. There is a policy not to use them in codeshares, thats why the majority of airlines do not do this. Although i do admit it looks good with the flags. --JetBlast (talk) 12:38, 14 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

July 2011 edit

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Singapore Airlines. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. NOTE: Singapore Airlines has no codeshare agreement with Transaero, see below weblink for evidence; http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/about-us/psh-codeshare-psh/ .   Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Singapore Airlines. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you.

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. License tagging for File:Utair-Ukraine logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Utair-Ukraine logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 2 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Logo S7Airlines 500x195.gif edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Logo S7Airlines 500x195.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Replaceable fair use File:VKO Ter B View.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:VKO Ter B View.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 12:20, 26 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Ak Bars Aero CRJ200 landing.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Ak Bars Aero CRJ200 landing.jpg.

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Replaceable fair use File:Ak Bars Aero CRJ200 landing.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ak Bars Aero CRJ200 landing.jpg.

Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 07:43, 29 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Orenair, makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. The use of flags in destinations has been thoroughly discussed at WP:AIRLINE (see also MOS:FLAGS). Furthermore, headings are not normally linked.--Jetstreamer Talk 13:51, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Uzbekistan Airways destinations, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. The change you made to the article is not supported by the current timetable. You have been warned several times to stop adding content that is not supported by reliable sources.--Jetstreamer Talk 10:19, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

It was suported by UzAirways schedule.

You can also find information on this flight: http://airlineroute.net/2012/11/09/hy-urc-nov12/ Airlineroute.net is often usen in Wikipedia as a reliable source.

Moreover you can easily find this flight in any booking system: http://www.skyscanner.com/flights/tas/urc/121124/121202/airfares-from-tashkent-to-urumqi-in-november-2012-and-december-2012.html

There had been a discussion regarding airlineroute.net, and the outcome was that it's NOT considered a reliable source, regardless its massive use on airline articles, which is strongly discouraged. Moreover, the current timetable provided in the article does not include Ürumqi as a destination. This is not the first time that I recall you to provide reliable sources for your edits. Please be more careful regarding the matter. Cheers.--Jetstreamer Talk 12:53, 15 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Flags in articles edit

This is not the first time I see you adding flags to articles, like here. As per MOS:FLAGS, the use of flags in articles is restricted to very specific purposes. Please take a look at these guidelines and familiarise yourself with them. Thanks.--Jetstreamer Talk 16:25, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

BTW, I already mentioned this to you twice thrice in threads above.--Jetstreamer Talk 16:32, 2 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
You don't seem to be reading the posts left by others. I've reverted this edit. Please take a look at these guidelines and stop adding flags into airline destinations and airline articles. Thanks.--Jetstreamer Talk 16:10, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Blue bird air logo.png edit

A tag has been placed on File:Blue bird air logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. May 2016 edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Dnipro (city) a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Westvision edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Westvision requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Replaceable fair use File:S7 Embraer 170.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:S7 Embraer 170.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Train2104 (t • c) 15:03, 12 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

bsd. I saw you uploaded many logos. I try to improve them, and in many cases it means replacing a JPEG or PNG with an SVG file. Over the next few days you may see some deletion notices on those unused files. Also i will be changing the license on some of them. Just wanted to let you know. Keep up the great work! --Ben Stone 06:40, 4 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:12, 28 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Manas Airport logo en.jpg edit

The file File:Manas Airport logo en.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 14 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Links to draft articles edit

Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to King Fahd International Airport. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. February 2024 edit

Hi Antonbabich,

Thank you for your edits. However, please remember that for US airport articles to use the proper date formatting (MM/DD/YYYY) per MOS:DATETIES.

Thank you! VenFlyer98 (talk) 18:50, 14 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Antonbabich:
Please remember to use the correct date formats for certain countries per MOS:DATETIES.
Thank you. VenFlyer98 (talk) 21:23, 14 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@VenFlyer98
I'm afraid you comment is not relevant
I'm using 30 April tag to add dates
So the way it is been displayed in you browser depends only on your settings. 30 April adjusts date/time format to local setting and there is no need to use specific formatting here Antonbabich (talk) 11:40, 15 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Antonbabich:
This is not true, it is not based on settings. Please see here: Template:Date.
The tag you are adding is not specifying a format and defaults to DD/MM/YYYY. Browser settings do not matter, and I am not the only user who has changed your edits to MM/DD/YYYY format on US airport articles. Either use the correct format for your tag so it displays as MDY format, or to keep it simple, don’t use tags at all and just manually type the date.
For example, you are using ((date|2024-6-7)) which produces 7 June 2024. You need to do ((date|2024-6-7|mdy)) which produces June 7, 2024.
Thank you.(VenFlyer98 (talk) 20:18, 15 March 2024 (UTC))Reply
