Hello, I'm Obi2canibe. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2014 anti-Muslim riots in Sri Lanka, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.   Hello, I'm MelbourneStar. I noticed that you recently removed all content from Talk:Pedro (footballer, born July 1987), with this edit without explaining why. Hi there PS,

please, i am an editor of eight years (User:Always Learning), i know what i am doing and am in no way a vandal. Plus, i am not removing things for the sake of it, i am explaining in my summaries what i did OK?

Thank you - --84.90.219.128 (talk) 16:59, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

84.90.219.128 To avoid confusion, I suggest you to use your username instead of IP Address since most users are using IP Addresses to vandalise pages which enforces to revert the edits by Anonymous user. Beside i have reverted the change and used “Brazilian striker” since the player's nationality is Brazil so no need to remove it. Also please make a small summery explaining why you're removing it, It will be useful to other editors who're in charge of recent page changes... --Prince Sulaiman Talk to me 17:07, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for you input. I did what i did to avoid overlinking (there was one version that previously had THREE wikilinks in a row, "Brazilian", "striker" and "Elpídio Silva", "WP should not be a sea of blue" is an editing rule), plus no, there is no need to write "Brazilian" in Martelinho's storyline unless it was 100% necessary, the article is about Martelinho not Silva. Also, if the reader wants to know Silva's nationality, all he has to do his click on his wikilink. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 17:19, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

84.90.219.128, That's good, Avoiding over-link is important and i'm glad that you have wikilinked it to the player's page it will also be useful. Thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia :) --Prince Sulaiman Talk to me 17:24, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Emil Tîmbur(page you deleted)

Hi,i. Just wanted to know why you want to delete this page(or already was deleted, not sure) I would like to know that is the difference between Emil Tîmbur's Page and this one with the 17 years old kid, this is the link > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enis_Bunjaki Both did not play any match in senior level.Emil Tîmbur(18 years) at least played friendlies for his club,Zimbru Chisinau.i doubt if this german boy did for Eintracht .But both played for their national youth teams,in 7 matches. Why one of them, can have the page on wikipedia, the other not ? That is the reson? I may be mistaken ,but maybe the reason is because some thinks that German are Superior Race and Moldovans are inferior. I hope this is not the reason,if is,this is calling racism and discrimination,my friend.good luck to you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kolya77 (talkcontribs) 20:30, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello Kolya77, We have reached the decision at Article for delection, As result the most of editors has voted to delete since the article doesn't meet WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL, I'm even unable to find the notability of Emil Tîmbur, This doesn't mean to discriminate the player, But the article doesn't meet any notablity to keep it. The player Enis Bunjaki has enough of a significance of notability and credible footballer who is popular than Emil Tîmbur. The age doesn't matter, It all matters about the appearance in official leagues that is supported by FIFA's regulations. If you're new here, You should consider submitting the article to a reviewer in order to avoid getting deleted in future.--Prince Sulaiman Talk to me 20:45, 13 August 2015 (UTC)
You don't get to decide for yourself what the consensus was at an AFD you opened yourself, and then enact it yourself. That's just not how it works and never has been. And just throwing various speedy deletion nominations at it and seeing what sticks isn't how it works either. You want it deleted, open a new AFD, let it run, and let an uninvolved closer determine the consensus. Since you have made a mess of things, a better suggestion might be for you to just let it go for the time being. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:28, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
@Beeblebrox: Thanks for suggestion, I thought non-admin is eligible to close the AFD decision, But it seems different and yes, I understand now how it works and the article doesn't meet WP:NFOOTBALL and WP:GNG which I'm seeking suggestions from other editors who were involved in the decision, But the verdict of suggestions proved that was to delete. So i need an attention from an administrator that would be you and it is up to you whether to keep or delete, As I have done full research on that article and it fails to meet notablity. Thereafter from that Article for deletion i have only asked for suggestions from other editors that's it. --Prince Sulaiman Talk to me 18:40, 14 August 2015 (UTC)

I don't see what's wrong!

Hi, Please tell me in details about which sentences/parts i should remove to have the article submitted ? all The references are News Websites in Iran such as Mehrnews, Isna, Borna,...fully independent sources.I don't see what is the problem with the sources and the whole article.I have removed Facebook and Instagram links and removed all the parts that were not in a neutral point of view.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:The_Experience_ProjectAyda.alm (talk) 15:55, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

@Ayda.alm:I see that you haven't done enough of change when you got declined by reviewers Flat Out and Libby norman, and your article simply doesn't meet WP:OR which means the article looks more like essay research instead of your own words. This resulted WP:BOMBARD in your references which you have really used bare links and it failed to meet the WP:GNG.
Before you submit an article you should read this and WP:YFA, Then learn lesson from WP:YFA there are detailed informations on how to create properly sourced articles, it doesn't matter whether this article is provided Independent sources or not, It all matters about the significant of source to support the contents, because in your article there are not enough of reference to support each paragraph and the whole paragraph is bare notability which refuses to abide by Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines. Once you have met all these necessary requirements I have given you above hyper links, You can re-submit your article again and another editor will take in-charge of your article for review and it will be approved soon as it meets WP:GNG, WP:OR and the basic core policies of Wikipedia. -- MONARCH Ask me 16:26, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

WestRock Company

I followed your suggestion and engaged in the Help forum. I quickly established that the requirement for "notability" depends entirely on media and similar coverage of the company, which inter alia explains why so many company articles are hatchet-jobs, portraying their subjects as riddled with scandals, lawsuits and corporate malfeasance. Ref: Johnson & Johnson which even some Wikipedians seem to think is a bit over the top. Accordingly I recognise that I'm wasting my time, and will in future go to less biased sources for company, business and economic information. You can do what you like with the draft; I'm afraid I don't care. Chrismorey (talk) 01:24, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Is It a problem when I only have Persian references to an English article?

I see that even if I do as you suggested, There still aren't any references in English for me to chose from. But so many references in Persian ( as this art event has started from Iran). What should I do ? Do The editors approve non english references?Ayda.alm (talk) 06:20, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Ayda.alm, If you don't see any of them in English, then the article don't belong here, You should use Wikipedia Persian. As there are not any English references so its hard to confirm the sources in a language that's other than English. So it's most likely the editors will not approve it and it's most likely to get rejected. -- MONARCH Ask me 22:19, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi Alpha Monarch, I have seen you declined my article on Inexhibit magazine for insufficient references. Can you please give me some advice about how to improve this point? I am also working on another article on a different web magazine (Dezeen) which had been declined too, sometimes ago. Both Dezeen and Inexhibit are well-known design websites, and it seem to me that the references cited are rather similar to those reported for other online design magazines already present on Wikipedia (see for example Designboom, Metropolis (architecture magazine) or ArchDaily. Probably I am a bit inexperienced about judging reference relevancy, can you be so kind to provide me some hints on that matter, so next time I will be able to compile the article including enough and enough relevant references for approval?

All the Best, JP

Jpboudin (talk) 07:36, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

  • (talk page stalker) If i may, I took a quick look, and it does look like you have adequate references. So, I looked at one of them, the article in the New York Times. Not once in the text of that article did I see the word "Inexhibit". If I understand your point correctly, you were demonstrating that the NYT re-used images produced by Inexhibit, is that right? I have to tell you that is not sufficient. What is expected is significant coverage of the article subject. That is, articles that are about the subject, not just connected to it in some way. To be fair, this is just my first impression from checking only one source. Beeblebrox (talk) 21:30, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

Dear Beeblebrox (talk) thank you for your feedback! I perfectly understand your point. Some details on my submission: the article on the New York Times cites an article on Inexhibit as a reference (it does not simply re-use its images), you can't find the word Inexhibit because it is linked through the original article's title “When the Future Had Fins: Automotive Design and Concepts, 1959-1973.”. I usually look for citations for a certain website with Open Site Explorer, afterwards I check if the link is real and active, and that's how I got it. Nevertheless, what I need to know if such references as information source on authoritative publications are enough (and enough encyclopaedic/academic, as I was thinking before), or I should look instead for articles "on" Inexhibit (or Dezeen, or any other web magazine I would like to write a Wikipedia's page on) as a main subject. (As reported, there are several articles on "best 100 design magazines" cited on Wikipedia's pages as relevant references, which honestly seems to me a bit generous). I admit, this point is still unclear to me (I am rather new as Wikipedia's contributor, so my vision on this subject could be superficial). I deem MONARCH's opinion on that matter would be a great help. All the Best, JP. Jpboudin. —Preceding undated comment added 20:27, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi Jpboudin, The administrator Beeblebrox has clearly explained on why your article was rejected – As I found that none (only at least one unreliable source did mention Inexhibit) of your references did mention the word “Inexhibit” which doesn't meet the WP:GNG and the reliablity of references. Looks like the article have just distorted the references without any actual representation of Inexhibit. Therefore the article doesn't have any significant to claim it as a creditor for “Inexhibit”. If you have any reliable sources representing the magazine Inexhibit, then you should insert in the content which I can verify before granting green light for publication otherwise it's likely to be rejected by any other reviewers if you re-submit it.-- MONARCH Ask me 21:08, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi MONARCH, that's absolutely clear to me, thank you so much. So, when I write a page on a magazine, I should look for relevant sources that actually wrote something on that magazine as a subject, not simply reporting links or citations from it. Is this right? Just to have a further reference, how could you evaluate the citation on Inexhibit by the University of Michigan http://www.lib.umich.edu/blogs/imageworks/inexhibit-museum-magazine? It could be considered relevant or not? This info would be useful to me to avoid further mistakes. Best. Jpboudin —Preceding undated comment added 21:23, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Jpboudin Blogs are unacceptable. Here WP:BLOGS – It fails to allow that link. Magazine is depending on its the notablity or popularity you can check WP:MWG and there are criteria if all these five passed then you're likely to get that magazine article approved without any doubts. -- MONARCH Ask me 01:54, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Thank you so much MONARCH and Beeblebrox! OK, now it's much more clear to me what to do next; I need to focus more on reference reliability, as per the guidelines you kindly provided me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpboudin (talkcontribs) 14:17, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Dear Sir, Thank you very much for the prompt review. Regarding the issue of duplicity of article i would humbly like to draw a few points regarding the case.

  • Bengalis are a vast ethnic group spread across entire Bangladesh, entire India and across the world. There is no sub division of Bengali's in Bangladesh hence the entire population refers themselves as Bengalis (see Bangladeshis). But Indian Bengalis have no such option and they are clubbed with the larger group.
  • There is already a sub-sub-branch article of Bengali Hindus. The article bridges the gap between the main ethnic group and the country specific religion specific sub group.
  • The event of partition which resulted in the division of the ethnic group has occurred more than 70 years back hence substantial time has elapsed resulting in distinctly separate identities.
  • The draft Article as of now looks like the main article but i would consider that wider participation of other editors would result in the a better defined resource.

Hence based on the above i would humbly request you to reconsider the decision.

devx101 [TALK] 18:04, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello devx101 – The article still fails to meet the WP:GNG because each of these references you have fielded under the title of “References” doesn't support its the content as there are no matching words of “Indian Bengalis” thus it fails to meet reliablity of references and none of the links you gave in the article did mention ‘Indian Bengalis‘ As a result of that your article cannot be approved because there are not enough of reliable source to confirm its the notablity of ethnicity. So if you don't provide any notable reference the article is likely to be rejected again. -- MONARCH Ask me 22:13, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

19:07:30, 18 August 2015 review of submission by NEONecd999

Hi Alpha Monarch, thanks for taking the time to review my submission Draft:The_Score_(band) . You mentioned that it doesn't meet the standards of nobility in WP:NMUSIC.. yet the standards state that the artist is notable enough if they have charted on a country's national music chart, and this artist has charted #43 on the UK Official Singles Chart (the UK Top 100) and continues to chart to this date. What other evidence is needed to fulfill this requirement? Thanks!

NEONecd999 (talk) 19:07, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

NEONecd999, Regardless whether the song is Top 100 or not, The song doesn't determine the notability and it already failed to pass the WP:GNG because there is not enough of significant of claims to support its the popularity of the song. You have to understand that all music that comes top on Spotify or any similar services must need notability artists while the names of artists Edan Dover and Eddie Anthony do not yet have enough of notability to meet WP:NOTABLE so its unlikely that The Score (band) is to get passed with WP:GNG. -- MONARCH Ask me 22:03, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
Alpha Monarch, I'm confused by your response. Wikipedia:NMUSIC specifies that "Musicians or ensembles ... may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria," and the second criterion listed is "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." The band's single "Oh My Love" has been charting on the UK Top 100 Singles Chart for over a month now, in the company of very notable artists like Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift. To be listed on this chart means the song is among the top selling songs in the United Kingdom, which is the world's second largest music market after the U.S. This chart success is considered extremely notable in the music industry, especially for an artist that was previously unsigned & independent. This clearly fulfills Wikipedia's criteron of "has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." Could you please clarify? - NEONecd999 (talk) 19:07, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

19:17:32, 19 August 2015 review of submission by Artistdatausa

Dear Alpha--I sincerely appreciate your review of the article, and know that you have seen many articles, which gives you a good basis for comparison, and for your conclusions. The subject of the article, David Baise, an artist, is still (barely) alive and not well known today; however, he was quite famous in the late 1950s. I have cited several specific articles from that time, as well as some from the present, which are easily verifiable. However, there are many more earlier articles of which I have copies (including many with his photograph, etc.), but the name of the newspaper was cut off. Is there some way that I could e-mail images of these to you, so that you can see that David Baise was indeed notable in that earlier time (late 1950s). Looking over the Wikipedia rules, it does not appear that a notable person must be notable only today, but could have been notable in an earlier time. If I e-mail or snail mail copies of these articles to you, and you still do not think he is notable, I will give up on the article; however, I believe that you will be convinced of his notability after seeing the many various articles about David Baise that appeared in the late 1950s. Then, you might conclude that the several verifiable articles that I have cited are sufficient. Many thanks for any assistance you can provide.Artistdatausa (talk) 19:17, 19 August 2015 (UTC) painter4life Artistdatausa (talk) 19:17, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello Artistdatausa, the article David Baise has failed to meet WP:GNG and WP:NOTABLE also WP:NMUSIC, I understand what you say that there are other artists with little less popularity – But they probably have meet the WP:GNG and WP:NOTABLE also WP:NMUSIC notabilities which can be passed by determining its the popularity of the artists. However, the article David Baise didn't meet these policies which it still failed to do so, As you're aware that the article was rejected previously because there are not enough of notability of David Baise and the article also failed to abide by basic cores of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I'm sorry there is nothing else it can be done. If I approve this article without determining its the popularity – I'm more likely to get banned by the Bureaucrats or Administrators of Wikipedia, Anyway, you're always welcome to create any other articles that have enough of reliable sources along with its notablity. -- MONARCH Ask me 19:39, 19 August 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:

Requesting an IP address block exemption, because when I'm usually at public places I use an anonymizing VPN for the safety of my browsing sessions. Therefore, I'm requesting IP block exemption user rights. currently, I'm affected by Hard IP address range blocks Although, I have good-faith editing and never involved in vandal or disruption edits. MONARCH Ask me 22:57, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

In order for IPBE to be granted for anonymized editing, you need to demonstrate an exceptional need as described in the relevant policy. As your use of VPN appears to be a personal preference as opposed to exceptional circumstances, the request is declined. Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:03, 20 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the review! Is the problem a question of notability or tone? Notability I can understand; what do you think is lacking or could make it better? If it's tone, I modeled the article on the similar ones like "LD Products" and "Staples", and it seems neutral to me. Could you elaborate? Thanks! 70.166.97.3 (talk) 21:46, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

@70.166.97.3:, I have already elaborated on that reason template where you got decline notice. The article doesn't meet WP:GNG and WP:COMPANY. MONARCH Ask me 23:23, 21 August 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:

I have been blocked for “sockpuppet account” and Checkuser named Ponyo claimed that account AbrahamFernd account is sockpuppet of mine, But in fact, I don't really know who owns that account and I'm aware that account was created under VPN the user who shares same IP service as mine (I cannot access Wikipedia from my router which is already blocked by network administrator) and I have explained the situation here: IP block exemption user rights on Ponyo's talk page (he is the same guy who negotiated for IP exemption rights) and I'm victim of Hard IP address range blocks, I've also explained to that user that there is another user who used the VPN to vandalise Wikipedia using the same VPN service and eventually in the end I was accused of creating AbrahamFernd the account which really don't belong to me. MONARCH Ask me 02:57, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Based on a combination of behavioural and technical evidence, I think it is probable that you have abused multiple accounts. PhilKnight (talk) 20:50, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

An admin without checkuser rights cannot overturn a checkuser block. You can either wait one week for the block to expire, or you can e-mail the blocking admin; this option remains open to you when blocked. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:57, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
It's disappointing that you do not admit your connection to the account given the obvious technical and behavioral overlaps. You demonstrate classic sock behaviour with an account that is often technically indistinguishable from your own. Another checkuser has also made the same findings; your denials ring completely hollow.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 15:31, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
Ponyo, On your talk page, I have clearly told you that user was involved on page patrolling and same user (AbrhamFernd) had reverted some of my edit based on that URL you have given me and I understand that you feel like its sock account, But i do not know that user who actually is, Today only i found out after suspension of my account I found out that AbrahamFernd is sock account of Alpha Monarch (formerly PrinceSulaiman), Therefore, I do not deny any of these accusations, But how am i going to admit of using AbrahamFernd as sock account? Even that account is not under my control – If I ever use alternative accounts i swear and assume good faith I wouldn't act like this way, I would have put up userbox on my Alpha Monarch and show that I have another account with an explanation on why I'm using alternative account(s). In fact, I do not use other than Alpha Monarch. Even I told you that there are multiple editors on same IP Proxy that used to vandalise.
I wonder what is wrong with the article J.A.D.A Perera which you pointed? That article was created by me involving various of other editors contributing to it and a little explanation on that history would be appreciated. Please understand that my IP Proxy is not solely used by me, there are various of other users who are using my IP Proxy (I have already been told by ISP provider). Now I'm already isolated from editing articles because of my stupid network administrator who keeps blocking Wikipedia, Youtube, and other services, Thus I had to use IP Proxy to create my account (Alpha Monarch) in order to bypass this barrier imposed by my network administrator and your explanation on sockpuppet account is actually suggesting me WP:SHARE because there could be more than one user in this network. Based on your respond to your account talk page, I'm well aware of how the Checkuser privileges work and I'm not trying to cheat you or anyone on this accusation. Now this thread is leading me to more complicated way to resolve this issue as I just had to volunteer to page patroller all after tirelessly protecting Wikipedia from vandalism and you're accusing me of using sock account that in fact I don't have that account in my control. If you're able to assist me on disclosing more information of that user via my email, I would be grateful to check who is actually controlling it and I'm also able to check with my ISP provider in regards to the session(s) usages from that account and see whether they're using from my WiFi or not. Please at least help me in this case so I can seek dedicated IP address from ISP provider by showing this as evident that other users are abusing my network activities. Any of your help is greatly appreciated. MONARCH Ask me 16:18, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
