The user at this apparently fixed IP address has, since this edit last December 19, been on a campaign to insert {{script/Hebrew}} and {{script/Arabic}} tags inside of {{lang-he}}, {{lang-yi}}, and {{lang-ar}} tags—which isn't supposed to be done. As I told the user, See the documentation of the template itself, Template:Script/Hebrew, which says "Please mark all Hebrew script with either
{{Lang-he}}
if the text is in Hebrew, or with{{Script/Hebrew}}
if it isn't." One or the other, not both. For these languages, Wikipedia maps the expected script by default, it doesn't need help.
- Having been through a couple of rounds of reversions and then explaining this to the user on their talk page, I noticed warnings from other editors as well. After another round, therefore, I left a final warning. The user has ignored that, and hasn't responded to anybody. The most recent such edit was just a bit ago, this, and these edits are made repeatedly to articles where they were reverted. Largoplazo (talk) 02:55, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

AutopatrolledUser:B3251
I am making a request on behalf of myself, as I sometimes create new articles pretty often (mostly New Brunswick-related). As of right now I have 66 live articles, and I have expanded plenty more. I have had a few deletions: two articles when I was brand new to editing & one list I created in mid-2023 (due to not completely understanding WP:BLPCRIME at the time). Otherwise, my articles have been pretty straightforward and vary in quality, with most being Start/C-class by the time I publish them. I had a little bit of a rough start when it came to "notability knowledge", as many do, but overtime I have grown to have an understanding of WP:GNG and WP:MOS when writing articles. Thanks, B3251 (talk) 11:53, 28 April 2024 (UTC) User:TheGreatestLuvofAll
I have created at least 25 articles that follow WP:NMUSIC and WP:GNG about singers and albums. I am familiar with WP:C, WP:V, and WP:BURDEN in my articles, without copying content without permission, and I make sure my info is sourced in any articles I created. TheGreatestLuvofAll (talk) 12:00, 28 April 2024 (UTC) User:Princess of Ara
I recently noticed this user, Princess of Ara. An editor who works mainly on Nigerian related articles and others. While trying to appreciate the user's effort, I got in love with the lovely articles, well sources, written from a volunteer in good faith and now, I am requesting that she be granted the auto patrol user right. It'll also help reduce heavy backlog of NPP. Thanks for your consideration! Safari ScribeEdits! Talk! 08:05, 30 April 2024 (UTC) User:Prince of Erebor

Hello! I tend to do a lot of tedious editing such as adding stub notices to articles, fixing the spacing of stub notices for the sake of the article being less crammed, cleaning/fixing redirects, etc. AWB would be great for getting tedious tasks such as those done in significantly less time and more efficiently. Not to mention would be greatly appreciated on my part. Thank you for your consideration & have a nice day! (Please @ me when responding, thanks!) ¿VØ!D? ✨ 19:52, 29 April 2024 (UTC) User:Ayakanaa

I work with a bunch of music articles on wikipedia focusing on emo. Most of these are often neglected (usually having no edits for years, borderline AfD, etc). I belive AWB would help me make my job easier by automating the tedious tasks involved and more efficient. 49p (talk) 16:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi! I'm working on WP:WikiProject AfroCreatives (and the corresponding frWP and arWP projects) as part of an imminent campaign and I was hoping I can expedite the addition of our newly created {{WikiProject AfroCreatives}} into relevant articles. I would keep it to black-and-white situations where articles are in Category:African films, Category:African actors, etc. Otherwise, if there's a dedicated bot for this kind of requests that I'm not aware of, by all means let me know. Extended confirmedUser:MrGreen1163
In November of 2023 when I was fairly new to editing Wikipedia, I had gamed a few edits to increase my edit account unknowing that is was a rule violation, where I was blocked from extended confirmed permissions for gaming. The administrator Izno had stated that, in order to restore these permissions I had to wait at least 3 months and gain 500 edits legitimately, which meant getting 860 total edits. After almost 5 months of substantive and constructive edits to help improve this encyclopedia and heavily expanding my knowledge on editing, I had reached this goal. My knowledge on Wikipedia has increased heavily and you are more than welcome to view hundreds of my contributions since then which are constructive and substantive. Izno also stated that I should apply when I feel ready to enter the field of contentious topics and articles, which I now feel ready to do. Thank you. (Also I applied in December but willingly withdrew the request after realizing that I did not meet quota.) MrGreen1163 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 21:18, 29 April 2024 (UTC)

New page reviewerUser:Aplucas0703
I have made many constructive edits to Wikipedia, and have a decent amount of experience in Articles for Creation, and I have approved AfC reviewer for nearly 1 year. I have had no controversy thus far while working in this area. I mainly want to focus on patrolling the backlog of redirects, but occasionally I would also review articles. I also know my limits, and only work in the areas I am confident in, or I seek help. I am big on assuming the good faith of editors and pointing them in the right direction if their efforts are misguided, as I often do at AfC. aaronneallucas (talk) 04:40, 12 April 2024 (UTC)

I was granted new page reviewer rights temporarily and I think that I'm ready to get them permanently since I've tagged and patroled over 50 pages now. I've also tagged many pages for deletion that were unfit for the wiki. Finally, I would like to participate in the May backlog drive. I thank the reviewing admin for their time and hope that I will be granted this perm. – PharyngealImplosive7 (talk) 16:45, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi. I generally rotate between different maintenance activities such as RC patrol, pending changes patrol, and edit request patrol, and would like to contribute to the NPP/AFC queues too. Editing Wikipedia for 15 years, but with long bouts of low activity or inactivity, but I feel I have a strong grasp on the core policies (especially copyright-related). Despite focusing on maintenance mainly, I have created/significantly contributed to few articles, most recently XZ Utils backdoor (permalink when moved from draft to mainspace) and BG3. Thanks for your time. Melmann 22:09, 21 April 2024 (UTC)

I requested and was granted one month of the permission previously ([2]), to participate in the January 2024 NPP backlog where I reviewed 51 articles. I have been away from Wikipedia for a few months due to personal issues, but I plan to get back into editing the next few days/weeks and would like to participate in the upcoming May backlog drive. I don't mind if the permission is granted on a permanent or temporary basis. Darcyisverycute (talk) 03:34, 25 April 2024 (UTC)

Hello. I would like to request NPP rights to help review newly-created articles and lower the backlog. To start, I have over 5500 edits on en.wiki, with over 1500 in the mainspace. I also have moderate experience in the article creation process, being a AfC reviewer and having created several articles. I also have experience in the deletion process, having tagged lots of pages for CSD (and later having most of them deleted) and participating in AfD. If the NPP right is granted, I will start carefully patrolling the NewPagesFeed and contributing to the reviewing process. Thank you for considering my request!

Hello! I'm requesting New Pages Reviewer rights because I like working with new articles and editors, and I want to help with the May drive. I've been an AfC reviewer since October 2022, and know how to treat these new articles. Also, I participated in the November 2023 WPAFC drive and helped to get that backlog down to zero. I copyedit, but now I primarily work in counter-vandalism. I'm a pending changes reviewer and a rollbacker as well. Thanks! —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 14:37, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

I have extensive experience with new page creation and expanding stubs into appropriately sourced articles, and I also engage regularly (and constructively!) in AfD debates and PRODs with a good understanding of applicable policies. I'd like to use this permission to participate in the upcoming backlog drive, and enable some of my existing (informal, unofficial) NPP-type activity to have further positive impact (eg. I currently welcome newbies/draftify/CSD where appropriate). I'm specifically requesting now as I've recently gained more experience with DYK nominations, AfD, and AfC, so feel ready. Hi, I want to be a net positive as a new page reviewer. Especially ahead of the new page patroller drive that's upcoming. I saw NPP is running a backlog drive next month. I'd like to pitch in. I've been around for six years and been autopatrolled for nearly as long, creating about 80 articles. I've also had some decent experience in deletion, see my logs. I prefer to only hold rights while I am actively using them, so I would prefer if NPR were granted just for the drive's duration for now. – Teratix ₵ 04:22, 30 April 2024 (UTC)

I have been on Wikipedia for almost 12 months now and over the course of this last year-or-so, I believe I have managed to get a good grasp of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Naturally, when I started out, I had a few issues that needed to be addressed (such as my eagerness to create an article that didn't meet Wikipedia's standards and hence was nominated for speedy deletion) but I believe that over the course of those months, I have managed to learn from my mistakes that happened early on and have since not only created a handful of my own articles and re-directs but have helped improve, in a significant way, a number of already existing ones to a point where article maintenance tags could be removed from them. I noticed a huge backlog that is being built up and would love to make myself useful by spending some of my spare time in helping clear that up and become part of the NPP team. I got busy in real life for most of March and April, so my request was put on hold per [4]. Here is my original reason for requesting NPR permissions again. I have over 120 new articles under my belt, mostly relating to medieval history, monasteries, saints, and geographical features. I am familiar with the kinds of content that would fall under CSD criteria, since I have experience wikifying new pages and tagging obviously problematic new pages for speedy deletion. I know the guidelines on notability, proper sourcing, draftifying new articles, rating talk pages using scripts, AfC, AfD, and other essential patrolling tasks. Would be quite happy to reduce the backlog while being cautious and careful. Also currently a Pending Changes Reviewer. Florificapis (talk) 00:09, 1 May 2024 (UTC)

I'd like to volunteer for the NPP drive this month. I was previously granted the right for a trial period in August (expired a month later, extension request declined), and for another trial in December (for the January drive; unfortunately I was inactive as I was busy IRL). I have a bit of content writing experience (Trams in Olsztyn ) and formerly worked in AfC reviewing. – dudhhr talkcontribssheher 17:19, 1 May 2024 (UTC) User:Funforme3
Reason for requesting new page reviewer rights I often go through pages and pages making edits and typo fixes, grammar cleanup, and updating the articles overall appearance and optimizing different aspects of the article to follow community and portal requirements. I have made a few new article pages however a lot of the time I need some free time to complete some of them. I find it encouraging to see new articles and contributions to wikipedia and the sister projects associated in the different wiki sites and would like to involve myself more in the wiki-community! Hello. I was granted new page reviewer privileges several months ago with instructions to base my voting and reviews more on policy than opinion in order to earn full-time privileges. I have made great efforts to do just that, taking part in quite a few AfDs and becoming familiar with the policies surrounding AfDs, both concerning voting in them and creating them myself. I have actively engaged by fellow editors, using policy and precedent both to vote, recommend new pages for deletion when necessary, and argue for my positions in particularly active AfDs. I am here requesting full-time new page reviewer privileges, as I feel as though I have fulfilled both the requirements of the position and the suggestions given me over the last few months. Hello, I'am applying again for Pending Changes Reviewer, as it was felt by a person who reviewed this that my request was "all over the place" and that "I didn't understand that PC rights are". I don't think that's fair. I was simply just giving my experience and of having done 632 edits on Wiki involving mostly updating critical information, having been an Editor since Feburary 2021, and being familiar with Wiki Guidelines & Copyright and understanding the importance of making sure the info on Wiki is correct, and preventing Vandalism. And other requests saying that exact same stuff were approved, so not sure what to say but, I'am aware of the importance and privliege of this permission, and would like my request to be considered fairly, as it did not feel like that was the case the first time, based on the response that I got. I've also gained a thorough understanding of relevant policies, such as WP:VAN. In addition, I was granted AfC reviewer and NPP rights. The main reason I would like Rollback rights is to revert vandalism and disruptive editing quicker and easier, as well as the usage of more advanced tools such as AntiVandal and Huggle. Thanks for considering my request!
