Someone has gone through the references section here with a sledgehammer [1]. Firstly, the work parameter in {{cite news}} is for a body of work in the publication. Secondly, you don't just remove the publisher's name - that's actually very important information. Thirdly, you don't remove html entities like ndash. Thirdly, the "work" is not the publisher. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 07:38, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome. It looked like you were struggling with the many, many parameters available in the cite templates, which can be confusing. In {{cite news}}, the work (publication) belongs in |work=, and the newspaper's "section" (at least that's the common US term) goes in |department= (not a term I use myself, but that's what the template uses). – Jonesey95 (talk) 20:51, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I find the quote fascinating personally, but I suspect that it is problematic under WP:LONGQUOTE and WP:OR.--Grahame (talk) 03:56, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
I’ll have it cut down later tonight when I get home :-) - Chris.sherlock (talk) 05:00, 6 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

When I started this article, I decided to make it easier for me to see ndash and mdashes using the html entity encoding. As I wrote this article initially the convention is that we remain with what you start with, at least for things like this. I have put back the entity encodings, please keep them this way.
Also, there is no need to change the month in {{Use dmy dates}} so I've put this back to what it was before. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 04:55, 12 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
"having in 1899 established a wholesale jewellery and importing business, Frederick Aronson & Co" -> "establishing a wholesale jewellery and importing business, Frederick Aronson & Co in 1899"?
"Aronson evidently later wrote to Franklin, whose brother responded with what appears to have" there's a whole lot of speculation here/ Why don't you leave that for the reader to do?
fixed - added footnote that the original letter cannot be located. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 12:25, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
"not been preserved for history" -> "was not recorded"
I'm also concerned about comprehensiveness; for example, you write almost two paragraphs about a conflict with Miles Franklin, but put almost no discussion into any other work she did. It seems to me that there would be a fair amount of stuff to add. Eddie891TalkWork 02:01, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
What sort of material do you think we should add? The Mile Franklin incident was quite significant, give the status of Miles Franklin in Australia. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 12:25, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Chris.sherlock, something about this: and organized and ran the depot which distributed over a million books and magazines during World War I., maybe add something about her as the "original member of the executive committee of the New South Wales division of the British Red Cross Society"? Eddie891TalkWork 12:30, 18 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Chris.sherlock, just a small bit more work to get the article to ga, are you planning on getting to it? Eddie891TalkWork 13:27, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
I'm so sorry Eddie891, I recently lost my job due to COVID-19 and I'm afraid I have to take a wikibreak. I really appreciate your feedback, I'll action it when I'm back but perhaps it's best to withdraw this GA nomination till I have the time to action your suggestions. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 16:31, 22 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Chris.sherlock, That's completely fine, and understandable. I will close this as 'failed', but please leave a note on my talk when you have time to come back and address the comments. Really, you have done nice work, and I'd like to see this pass Eddie891TalkWork 23:46, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Eddie891 I think something went wrong because this is now a GA... btw, I really appreciate you taking the time to review the article. - Chris.sherlock (talk) 02:41, 25 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
