60 second update at 23.00 on the 14th January 2009 edit

Did anybody else hear what I heard? No? Davu.leon (talk) 11:39, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not me, but I think I know what you're talking about. I suspect this incident has received enough coverage to be worthy of inclusion here. Open4D (talk) 13:57, 23 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Naked Modelling edit

I know many muslims who built this page will not be happy abput it, but it is still part of life. Can we include it? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3082604/Raunchy-secret-of-telly-news-girl-Tasmin-Khan.html Reaper7 (talk) 12:19, 5 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Look at the first photo in your link. I think it is photoshop :) --85.102.117.32 (talk) 15:55, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, it's all over the British press, and the Sun newspaper for better or worse is a WP:RS. Whether it is encyclopedic is another question, but verifiability is easily met.KD Tries Again (talk) 03:41, 8 August 2010 (UTC)KD Tries AgainReply
If its now in the Daily Mail when she has sold her story to them in a counter-spin, then I can't see how we can't include it? Plus The Sun is WP:RS. All refs from all publications also confirms her full and correct name, although Pointer1 has got in a right tissy about the whole thing - some of his edits appear blatant fact removal, and some pure publicity/beyond an encyclopaedia. Are the photo's encyclopaedic - on reflection probably not, but we can hardly leave the ref out when it confirms her name. Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 15:02, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
What is a "tissy"? Can't find that in my dictionary. Pointer1 (talk) 07:34, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Education??? edit

Just noticed something: we have a half-complete tag box in this article for Oxford Brookes University. The refs seems to suggest and support that she attended the University of Oxford, but I can't find a college name. The tag was changed by an anon on August 5th, 2010. Anyone have a ref that supports either conclusively? A college normally sorts this out easily. Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 15:05, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Edits of Walker2005 edit

I have checked through the edits of Walker2005, and it heavily biased towards this article. I have hence placed a tag on the main article, and requested clarification of their relationship to Ms Khan. Rgds,--Trident13 (talk) 23:33, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

There is no relationship between Ms khan and myself. I am someone who watches a lot of news and I have followed her career for the last few years. Trident, you have blatently put up unencyclopaedic material, as I too have checked your edits. These have been reverted by Pointer1 and other users. I think we need to stay factual. Name change- fair enough, but you wanted to edit in sensational tabloid material regarding nake private pictures. That's hardly encyclopaedic. Rgds,--Walker2005 00:52, 13 August 2010
At last, some communication - thank you! The Sun is accepted as WP:RS - see the above discussion. Plus it confirms her name, as well as the article she then got her agent to spin into the Daily Mail. Therefore its acceptable to include it, although we have agreed to not mention the incident directly. Pointer1 is trying to remove both The Sun ref and the title summary of the Daily Mail ref, both of which are in convention of WP:REF policy. Rgds, --Trident13 (talk) 23:58, 12 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
Pointer1 is not "trying to remove both The Sun ref and the title summary of the Daily Mail ref". I suggest you actually look at the edits made by Pointer1 before making such wild accusations. No such refs have been removed by Pointer1! Pointer1 (talk) 00:21, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Minor edit semi request edit

{{Edit semi-protected}} Please make the following minor improvements:

  • In the infobox, change birthname to Farhana Tasmin Lucia Khan, so that it corresponds to what's in the article.
  • In Tasmin Lucia Khan#Broadcasting career, change "She has covered some of the biggest showbiz news stories for the BBC, including the deaths of Michael Jackson" to "She has covered some of the biggest showbiz news stories for the BBC, including the deaths of Michael Jackson (i.e. since the topic is his death, make the wikilink for Jackson's name be to the article "death of Michael Jackson").
  • For Tasmin Lucia Khan#References, replace the entire section with the following:

That's all I ask. Semi-protecting this article for six months was harsh. If someone is feeling brave (Deskana: "Oversight based action. You must not undo this protection without my approval"), unprotect the article and I'll make these minor changes myself. Thanks. 67.100.126.148 (talk) 00:11, 27 September 2010 (UTC).Reply

Done All 4 points done. Several edits to the article needed to be oversighted, meaning something serious was going on in this article and thus was protected. How about you sign up with an account? Thanks, Stickee (talk) 02:35, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Llitigation edit

From 2016 to 2018, Tasmin Lucia-Khan was embroiled in litigation with Ryan Wiik, who hired her as the CEO of WR Entertainment. Variety writes, "The story made front-page headlines in Norway, where the business press chronicled each bizarre twist in the saga."[1] As an encyclopedia we summarize rather than chronicling every twist and turn, but it is bizarre (and WP:POV) that article Ryan Wiik contains four paragraphs about the litigation, but this article doesn't include a word about him or the legal battles between the two of them. Potential sources include:[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:59, 18 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
