Articles Created edit

If I create an article on Wikipedia, it's usually because I looked for information about someone and was surprised to find no entry. Since I am usually looking for biographical or bibliographical information about authors - often obscure - those are the types of articles I end up creating. Although I wouldn't say these authors are all that obscure.

Most of my time on Wikipedia, however, is spent editing philosophy articles, especially continental philosophy, as well as existing articles on authors, and some articles on pop culture and celebrity trivia. I also correct mistakes where I find them. One would have to be a special kind of masochist to actually create a new philosophy article. Even so, I have been engaged in sometimes surprising and always diverting arguments about Stefan George's sexuality, Radio North Sea International and terrorism, the transition from 3LW to the Cheetah Girls, whether the group Buzzcocks' name should be prefaced by the definite article (it should not) and Anne Nightingale's birth date. I am a magnet for controversy.
