Locations section

I would like to update the current locations section of the page by adding the word "including" and listing some of the locations. There are more locations I would like to add but I want to make sure these are correct before I add additional countries. Navalo18 (talk) 01:05, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

I have added additional locations and references and added bullet points to each location. Navalo18 (talk) 01:13, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. I understand your position. However, our major competitor - Tata Consultancy Services - has a listing of locations/countries of operation under their Operations Section on Wiki. You can find it at Tata Consultancy Services#Locations.

Also, in BPO and IT outsourcing, stakeholders like to see countries of operation because the major trend is for companies to take work offshore to lower business costs and improve quality of services. Genpact provides that opportunity.

Can we please add a listing of locations/countries of operation?

Thanks for your consideration. Navalo18 (talk) 16:51, 17 September 2014 (UTC)

This request is already implemented, and answered again belowe. It is not necessary to add a list of countries. Your own web site just shows a list of regions, with countries as sub-pages. I have modified the section to include those regions. That should be sufficient. It does not matter what junk exists in other articles. Each article must stand alone on its merits. Unnecessary details in other articles should be removed as well. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:00, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Locations and History request

Hello. I would like to update the Wikipedia page on Genpact as per guidance from David Goodman, Wiki editor. Please find update requests (below). I've identified many reference links, but the page wouldn't allow me to load them here. What do I need to do to share them?

Locations

Genpact has 73 delivery centers and a presence in 25 countries worldwide. For a complete listing, visit http://www.genpact.com/home/regions.

History

Genpact began in 1997 as a business unit within GE. Its charter was to provide business process services to GE's businesses, beginning with the GE Capital businesses. During the eight years that followed, it began to manage a wide range of processes across GE's financial services and manufacturing businesses.

In January 2005, Genpact became an independent company and began to serve clients outside of GE. In August 2007, the firm went public and was listed on the NYSE under the symbol 'G'.

For a company timeline, visit http://www.genpact.com/home/about-us/company-overview/history#.

Changes to prose have been made, but it is not appropriate to invite readers to visit external links. That part was not done, and will not be done. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:15, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Added citations. It is not necessary to make a conflict-of-interest edit request if you want to add secondary independent reliable sources to the article. Nobody will object if you do that yourself. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:10, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

Comment: As this list will presumable change, perhaps only the number should be given, and then a link to the place on their website that includes them all.(And in any case, it is not good practice to list routinely all country names in a list of countries--it does not particularly help the reader. DGG ( talk ) 17:21, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Agreed. I have declined this request, as it has already been answered previously. It should be sufficient to include the number only, with a short list of geographic regions. I have implemented this change. ~Amatulić (talk) 22:03, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
