My notes don't have a source for the Murger/Marcello reference. It was probably Groos & Parker (referenced in the Boheme article), or if not that, then perhaps Seigel (referenced in the Murger article), but I don't have either on hand to check. The website http://www.operastoriesonline.com/preview.html mentions it, saying that Marcello is based on Champfleury, Lazare, and Tabar. That's exactly what my own notes say, so I assume the author of that site was reading the same book I was. Iglew (talk) 02:52, 9 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
