remove TBD impeachment trial

While it is possible the impeachment trial of Donald Trump will start some time in January, there is no way to know for sure. We do not need to add this to this list of scheduled events. criteria?

Can someone explain the criteria for publishing events? It seems to me that religious holidays, major sporting events, major festivals, and international events that include the U.S. should be included in this article. If not, why not?Michael E Nolan (talk) 18:47, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

• @Michael E Nolan: from my understanding of editing many Year in Country pages, normal/annual religious holidays are not included, major sporting events are included (albeit with the others, no separate section), major festivals are included, international events that include the U.S. are included. Coronavirus

Listing the first confirmed case of the new coronavirus in the U.S. makes sense, but I do not think we need to list the second or subsequent cases here. It is far too early (January 25) to determine the seriousness or extent of the crisis. There may be important information relating to a major outbreak in the U.S. or a vaccine sometime in the future, but in the meantime, I suggest we include new information on 2019–20 Wuhan coronavirus outbreak only. Recurring event lead?

I noticed that on some Year in country pages, including this one, COVID-19 related events begin with the header "COVID-19 pandemic:" or some variation of this. Is this standard for Year in Country pages? It feels a bit redundant to repeat this header and it takes excess space with little extra value. Most readers would be able to tell from keywords what the event is about without even reading the whole event so is this actually useful? Also, the 2020 in Ireland page, which is of very high quality, does not have any COVID-19 headers. I've recently removed the headers from the 2020 in Japan article because it made the article appear very excessive. Can someone who has been editing Year in Country pages for a long time please confirm or deny whether this is standard.
