Pacific Flag edit

I know there has been discussion recently about changing flags for specific Grands Prix over at WP:F1, specifically the likes of the Las Vegas Grand Prix and such. But I've always wondered about the Pacific Grand Prix. I know that the European Union flag has been used in recent years in association with the European Grand Prix, but was the Pacific Community flag actual used for the Pacific Grand Prix? It seems as though it's a bit of a "guess" to use this flag to represent the Pacific, even though I haven't necessarily seen anything that ties the two together. Should this specific flag be here or not? The359 (talk) 20:54, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Should be the Japanese flag I think. The European GP is a special case in that the flag has an official status of sorts. Readro (talk) 21:53, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'd also point out that Japan is not even a member of the Pacific Community, although we do have cases of races outside their designated country. I think I'd agree on either the Japanese flag, or at least for this article, no flag. The359 (talk) 21:55, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
I have just made the change, before even reading this discussion. That flag has be inappropriately used to represent "Pacific" on both motorsport and tennis articles, and I have been fixing that. — Andrwsc (talk · contribs) 20:03, 19 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
