Young Werther is an upcoming Canadian romantic comedy film written and directed by José Lourenço and starring Douglas Booth, Alison Pill, Iris Apatow and Patrick J. Adams. It is Lourenço's feature directorial debut and based on the 1774 novel The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.[1][2]

Production
editIn May 2023, it was announced that Booth, Pill, Apatow and Adams were cast in the film.[1]
Filming occurred in LIUNA Station in June 2023.[4]
In October 2023, it was announced that filming had been completed prior to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[2]
