Contest Question

Have a question ? Would having AWB help an Editor in this contest? And now asking for whoever's opinion, Please, I see that AfD's are going to be in the Editor's crosshairs for points, is this going to cause potentially good, great, needed articles to be lost just to gain points ? Well that means that we had better keep an eye on contestant AfDs , and vote keep if the article is worth keeping, so that the contestant will lose points instead. It njot just every one for themselves, It may be contestant against contestant. Perhaps you can draw attention to such AfD's here so that we can cooperate to keep the good ones. Contest emphasis

I have recently witdrawn my name because of what I see as problems with the method of scoring this contest. The idea of giving the highest number of points for the actions which require the least amount of work seems counter-intuitive to me. It also seems to miss the point by a wide mark. The problem is not that the articles exist, but is that they are unreferenced. The way to fix the problem is by finding and adding appropriate references, not by getting rid of the articles. Deletion is always supposed to be a last resort, only to be used when all else has failed. Rewarding deletion more heavily than research and repair is just not a contest which will produce results to which I wish to attach my name, and is certainly not a good way to solve the "problem" of unreferenced BLPs.
