Based on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Video_games/Assessment page

I copied the code from that page to act as the base for this assessment page. This needs a lot of work. There are links to project pages that do not exist, and most importantly the assessment process is not fully developed for this project.--Imaginationac 03:49, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I see. Also, we will need to update the {{WikiProject Universities}} template for assessment functionality. I will try to do this when I have time.(however, I am no template expert) We then may want to add it to the assessment script, User talk:Outriggr/metadatatest.js to assist people in rapid assessment and tagging of articles. FA University Articles

Are there any FA-class university articles? --NThurston 13:30, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Duke, Cornell, Michigan, Michigan State. I think that's it.--Wizardman 17:25, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Now Texas A&M :-) Oldag07 03:03, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Updated Assessment Page

I have updated the assessment page based upon the Pittsburgh assessment page. PadreNuestro 06:20, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Examples

Could someone updated the examples of different class articles so that they are university articles rather than unrelated articles? Make sure to include the oldid. Thanks! -- Noetic Sage 20:47, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Done. I picked some mostly at random; if anyone has objections, feel free to change them to something else. Esrever 21:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
So here's a funny thought. The {{grading scheme}} template allows you to expand the class breakdowns to include Template-, List-, NA-, etc., which don't normally show up. However, rather than pointing to, say, Category:Template-Class Universities articles, it points to Category:Template-Class Universities pages. "Okay, no problem," I think to myself, "I'll just bebop over to Template:WikiProject Universities and have it recategorize those articles into the updated links. Unfortunately, despite telling it (I think) to point anything tagged as "Template" or "template" class into Category:Template-Class Universities pages, it still categorizes some in the old category. The thing they all have in common is that they're tagged as "class=template" rather than "class=Template". Is there a way to fix this without having to re-tag every page? Any idea why articles tagged either "class=List" or "class=list" wind up in the List-Class Universities articles category? Esrever 22:26, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Never mind. Now it's just "class=list" showing up in the wrong places. Esrever 22:27, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Double never mind. Everything seems to have sorted itself out now. Esrever 19:42, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Requesting an assessment or re-assessment

  1. I would like to request for re-assessment of Florida State University from (GA) to (A) article status, alot of work has been done to the page, any sugestions would be helpful. thank you--Nolephin (talk) 20:30, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
  2. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (currently GA-class, looks like it may meet A-class criteria) Hippo (talk) 16:24, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
  3. McGill University is a well written article that is following all standards of MOS, and has gone through a large amount of editing. Unfortunately it hasn't gone through I copyedit as the editor I asked is quite busy and so I'll ask another person to do that. However two peer reviews had enough suggestions to revamp the article. It is currently GA and I myself have made a lot of edits, third highest was the last time I checked. Help to improve it further would be wonderful. Thank you, --Sunsetsunrise (talk) 20:48, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  4. Loyola College in Maryland was initially provided a "start" rating, and honestly deserved its grade. I have spent a great deal of time rewriting this article (with a merge re. the Rugby club tossed in), and I would ask for a review at this point in time. It should merit at least a "B" rating (perhaps higher), and any suggestions to increase the rating would be very much appreciated.Yachtsman1 (talk) 06:16, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
     Y Rerated to C-Class. See article's talk page - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 15:25, 16 October 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. Check in when you have a chance, we will keep improving it. Yachtsman1 (talk) 04:41, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
  5. One more time (I promise). List of colleges and universities in Maryland is currently unrated. I have edited it to make it better, and would ask for a rating at this time. Thank you.Yachtsman1 (talk) 19:07, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Y Rated to List-Class this was a no-brainer :D. A little more work and citations, and it may quality for FL status. I'd like to see it pushed to FL. Good Work. - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 20:52, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the review and the compliment. Per your direction, I have added a great deal to this article, including cites, facts, etc. I hope that puts it over the top.Yachtsman1 (talk) 04:59, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

So nominated. Thanks again for your help, encouragement and suggestions.Yachtsman1 (talk) 08:49, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
  6. The article about NUST (National Univesity of Sciences and Technology) was initially rated as stub, no doubt about that, but I have done a great deal of work on it to improve its status. Still a long way to go to get even near to FA class, anyways, kindly re-assess the article. Thankyou. Marsa Lahminal (talk) 16:47, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Y Reassessed to C-Class. Please refer to the article's talk page. - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 17:22, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

     Y Assessed to B-Class. - Jameson L. Tai talkguestbookcontribs 09:39, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
WOW! thanks man! I'm totally elated! I'll try to put it up in the GA article! --121.97.240.241 (talk) 14:03, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
  9. Rogers State University. Currently rated as 'start', from when I added the WikiProject Uni template. As a major contributor to the article, I'd like someone else to take a look and give their assessment. Cheers! -steventity (talk)
Y Reassessed to C. See notes on the talk page for detailed comments. Aboutmovies (talk) 08:05, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
  10. University of Valle. It was initially rated as 'stub', then changed to 'start'. I would like a reasesment since major changes have been made. Thanks. -Andremun (talk) 13:01, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
Looks like it already was, is now B class, notes left on talk page. Aboutmovies (talk) 06:59, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
  11. Middle Tennessee State University. This was a start class when it was originally assessed, however I have made drastic edits to this article. I think it can be bumped up a class. Thanks. MTSUGoRaidersGo 16:20, 27 March 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by MTSUGoRaidersGo (talkcontribs)
Bumped it up to C class, would be higher if there was more sourcing and more sources independent of the school. Also, one sentence paragraphs (the very first paragraph meets this definition) are discouraged, and in general the WP:LEAD needs refinement/expansion. Good work on improving it though. Aboutmovies (talk) 06:59, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
  12. University of the Sunshine Coast Article is rated start-class, I believe the content warrants a higher rating. Can someone please take a look... 1Audit1 (talk) 23:29, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Still Start class, notes left on talk page. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:07, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
  13. Victor Valley College which is not a part of this WikiProject yet. It's in the California WikiProject but has fallen by the wayside a bit with vandalism and bold edits in favor of advertising campus groups... I tried to rewrite it as a past student, but I think it needs expert attention at this point. 216.117.192.91 (talk) 01:52, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Assessed as Start class, notes left on talk page. Aboutmovies (talk) 08:02, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
  14. I would like for someone to review Davidson County Community College I've done what I can do with it, but there is so little information and so often doesn't line up with the University-level history or services.Bbcbrown —Preceding undated comment added 14:00, 21 May 2009 (UTC).
Still start class. To improve, convert the External links into proper footnotes (see WP:CITE and WP:FOOTNOTE). I turned the first one into a footnote to show you how, but it needs to be a full citation and not just a URL. The lead could use less detail on accreditation (move this to the main body, leave only that they are accredited and by whom), and in general you don't need citations in the lead (cite the information where it appears in the article). For sources, you likely have access through your library to various newspaper archives that will likely give you good sources for the history section. Aboutmovies (talk) 07:53, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
