Regarding background information

I have readded the information that was removed. The model that I am using for this article is something along the lines of List of Presidents of the University of Florida. Similar to what is done in that article, a little background information about the school seems appropriate. I will, of course, be working on expanding the article further along the lines of the model with mini-bios and pictures if enough become available. I would appreciate it if the information is left intact with perhaps more revision coming after the DYK has been featured. I already have a few changes in mind after keeping the article steady for DYK. BelloWello (talk) 04:43, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Working on it! We've asked La Sierra to provide a copy of images of each President, hopefully they will be willing and then it'll take some research but we should be able to do it. Either way, the background information should stay (although I don't mind a little bit of reformatting). I created the article with what we had and nominated it for DYK, fortunately, there is no deadline to the rest of the expansion. :) BelloWello (talk) 17:11, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Outside of the list, the information on this page was nearly exclusively about La Sierra University and belongs on that page. Except for one paragraph (which I will move shortly), the rest of List of Presidents of the University of Florida is about the presidency. Good examples of the background information that should be on this list would be President of Harvard University and Superintendent of the United States Military Academy. I was unaware that this was up for DYK until reading this talk page, but if you're concerned about getting it for DYK, once you have the relevant information about the Presidents, the article could qualify under the 5x expansion criteria. The short section on presidents that is here is 348 characters, so 5x expansion would be 1,740 characters. OCNative (talk) 00:06, 9 May 2011 (UTC)
