Hello, all edit

By creating this newsletter, it is my hope that I will not be the only one to work on it! Any and all contributions or suggestions, ideas, etc, are welcome! When delivering the newsletter to talk pages, it is placed as a template in order to save room and not clutter talk pages with loads of information. Each newsletter will be hosted on a site with a name "Wikipedia:WikiProject Oklahoma/newsletter/monthabreviationyearabreviation". For example: Wikipedia:WikiProject Oklahoma/newsletter/oct07, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oklahoma/newsletter/nov07, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oklahoma/newsletter/dec07, and so on, for each consecutive issue. For the issue to be completed and delivered near the first of October, it will be hosted on oct07, even though most of the work will probably be done during September. This newsletter can be anything you want and cover anything within WikiProject Oklahoma - or even other related wikiprojects that could help WikiOkies get a better idea of how to run their wikiproject. It's all up for grabs, so have fun with it. Okiefromoklatalk 20:55, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Looks good! The WPND Newsletter itself is a work in progress, but I'm glad you were able to use its' framework as a basis for this newsletter. I've been wondering if transclusion or substitution is better to use when delivering the WPND Newsletter. It sounds like you're using transclusion. I've been using substitution, but that does make talk pages a little messy. --MatthewUND(talk) 22:46, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well I dont know what it would be called but the template is what we are going with. Thanks for checking us out! Okiefromoklatalk 05:09, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Yes, transclusion. I've been doing more research into all the terms here on Wikipeida since a month ago. :P Okiefromoklatalk 20:23, 7 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Articles on related Wikiprojects edit

For the October edition I wrote a little blurb about Wikiproject Oklahoma's only workgroup project: Taskforce Tulsa. It's my plan to do more blurbs on the other related WikiProjects in the coming editions. These are the projects I hope to highlight soon: Oklahoma State Highways, Missing articles on Oklahoma newspapers, and WikiProject University of Oklahoma. We may have some people who are actually involved in those Wikiprojects, so anyone who wants to put together something would be helpful, even if it's just a start!
