Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon/Prizes and bonuses

The project is very beautiful, but in my opinion ti is not a good idea promoting Amazon.com, a company full of controversies (it is the first time I see a wiki page specially meant to explain the controversies of a company!) and with a behavior which is exactly the opposite of wikipedia. I think the rewards should promote knowledge, as you pretend, but without using Amazon.com. Some suggestions that come to my mind would be considering Barnes & Noble (very large catalog, does not look so controversial, nor so huge, specialized in books), or would be even better any other kind of reward related to knowledge that does not involve companies that are not trustable ethically speaking. I'll keep on thinking. What's your opinion? --Sorneguer (talk) 10:34, 19 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
