Hi Dank, I'd prefer to return (mostly) to the previous version, if you don't mind. For example, emigrants isn't correct; many women experiencing it were born in the host countries, and as someone objected to "immigrant" communities, I changed it to diaspora. I see the problem. It would be so easy to fix without the just-over-1200 character limit; we could just write it out. Okay, diaspora is fine. You actually kept most of my tweaks, and threw in some improvements in flow, with a few reversions. Thanks, it looks great. - Dank (push to talk) 23:22, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for helping to improve it, Dank. SlimVirgin (talk) 00:13, 13 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Khajidha, just noting that the sentence: "It is typically carried out, within days of birth to puberty, by a traditional circumciser ..." is correct without "at ages from," in case you see me remove it again. All the best, Sarah (SV) (talk) 15:09, 15 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I've moved the ages to another sentence, so perhaps that solves the problem: "Over 130 million women and girls have undergone FGM, within days of birth to puberty, in the 29 countries in which it is concentrated." Sarah (SV) (talk) 15:31, 15 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
The recent edits have improved the text, although we are at the point of diminishing returns and it is unlikely anyone would have noticed a significant defect in the original, bearing in mind that people can find problems in any paragraph. Nevertheless, since we're here, I would add a word to "and found elsewhere in Asia" so it reads "and is found elsewhere in Asia". I know from many discussions with SV that such brevity is natural for her, but it stands out for me. Johnuniq (talk) 23:24, 15 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Johnuniq: I was going to add "also" to that sentence, so I'll add "is" while I'm there. Sarah (SV) (talk) 15:13, 16 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
