Nickelodeon draws a wide ranging audience including many young and old Anime fans with this show. The show is played out in chapters, each relating to the four kingdoms of the elements. The  semi-childish story line (seeing as it is on Nickelodeon) does not attract me, but I have found many teens and even adults that watch the show for its Japanese Anime look and feel.
