Wikipedia talk:Requests for mediation/Article is meaningless because name was changed from original. Now, due to policies, entire article must be re-written in a way which makes it nonsensical, non supportable and completely meaningless.

Cause of contention

Some users believe that every occurrence of the word marijuana, on wikipedia, must be replaced with the word cannabis. There is no consensus on this issue and the last useful discussion on the topic was more than 6 years ago when there were only a handful of marijuana dispensaries in the world. Basic Argument

There is no reference material demonstrating the existence of a thing called a cannabis dispensary. These stores are called marijuana dispensaries by their owners, users, regulators, visitors, news media. Because wikipedia requires article bodies use the same terminology as the article header the article is forced to become meaningless with the forced name change. --Potguru (talk) 20:19, 22 January 2016 (UTC)
