Hello all,
Wondering if I could get some clarity on the usage of the command ((WHOIS)). When combating vandalism, I have added the template to IP userpages in the past, but it appears that the toolforge link is broken. Is it still appropriate to add a WHOIS template to IP userpages? Is there another method to hold the parties accountable for unconstructive or disruptive edits?

It's way too much work to report and warn about vandalism edit
I noticed a user vandalizing a page and I looked at their contributions and it's an account that was created 13 hours ago and they have a couple of edits which are all vandalism. In order to deal with this I have to first google this page then I have to read like five paragraphs of text, which don't really actually tell me how to fix the problem. Then I have to manually click on each one of his edits and click on history and click undo and click confirm. Then I have to go back to this page read 10 more paragraphs to find the correct template to copy paste onto their page.
It's all very tiresome. I wish I could just click report on the user page, and somebody else deals with it. Why is wikipedia so cumbersome? Akeosnhaoe (talk) 19:48, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
