Matthews Arena, Video on demand, Save the Internet, Henry Jenkins

I made suggestion on the Video on demand page. SCTT (talk) 04:00, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Good choices, SCTT. In particular Save the Internet and Henry Jenkins seem particularly underdeveloped.Mdseriis (talk) 15:20, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Also I have noticed that Jonathan Zittrain's The Future of the Internet and How to Stop It has not been reviewed yet. Since you did a very good job presenting it in class you might consider this as an option. Just an idea.Mdseriis (talk) 20:01, 3 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Option 1: The Future of the Internet and How to Stop It Option 2: Mass Amateurization (no existing article)

Internet Activism; Culture Jamming; Participatory Culture; Activism 2.0

With the possible exception of Activism 2.0--for which I am not sure there is a need of a dedicated article-- these are all great topics, Mai. However, the articles seem quite developed already. I have noticed instead that Produsage is not very developed and seems to lack the clear structure of a WP article. Participatory culture may also be an option.Mdseriis (talk) 15:41, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I made contribution to the Slacktivism page Lavoile (talk) 14:17, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Read your feedback on the talk page, seems spot on. And Slacktivism seems a great topic to improve on, especially because we will be reading some of the cited authors such as Gladwell, Shirky and Morozov. However, the current article seems quite developed already. Perhaps you can follow some of the links from the article? I have noticed, for example, that Morozov's biography is quite underdeveloped. And there is no review of his book, The Net Delusion, from which we will be reading an excerpt.Mdseriis (talk) 15:36, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

My final choices are Produsage and Internet Meme. I have already started working on Produsage in my sandbox Lavoile (talk) 20:06, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Alliance for Women in Media SaraLueders (talk) 20:09, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Sara, I was checking a bunch of possible options and found out that there are no articles for Feminist Media or Feminist Media Activism or Feminist Media Practices. The closest thing is Networked Feminism, which mostly deals with feminism and social media. It is not very developed so you might also decide to rework that one, but I think the other ones give you a broader range of options and would surely be read and possibly edited by many users.Mdseriis (talk) 20:23, 3 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi Professor,

I think I want to focus on your idea of Networked Feminism. Another idea that I have narrowed it down to is Internet censorship in the People's Republic of China SaraLueders (talk) 16:58, 4 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

My final choice is Networked Feminism SaraLueders (talk) 15:40, 11 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

US Television Regulation, ISP Legal Regulations, Spectrum Management, Landmar (talk) 17:15, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Landon, I have found that the Spectrum Commons Theory is developed in a section of Spectrum Management but could actually deserve an article of its own. For example this article explains quite well how it could work and why it is alternative to the command and control approach or the market approach.Mdseriis (talk) 20:36, 3 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Option 1: Spectrum Commons Theory Option 2: Internet meme Developing this page much more with more currents examples.

An article that interested me was Media_of_Honduras and Telecommunications_in_Honduras Jenks27 (talk) 20:18, 28 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I also think this article needs more work on, and I left a message on their talk page: Media_coverage_of_Hurricane_Katrina Jenks27 (talk) 17:02, 29 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

I also added some feedback in the page Social_Media I think this article also needs some work on the aspect of social media being used as a form of advertising and marketing. Jenks27 (talk) 17:08, 30 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
