  • Add 1-2 sentences of content to any related (completed) article and include the proper citation


Choose Article and Start Research (Due Mar 6; 10 points)

  • Choose article you will write based on my feedback, remove the rest from your user page. Add your article to the class's course page.
  • Delete all other articles from your user page
  • Go to the Library and get started looking up sources
  • Bibliography (5+ papers) posted to the talk page on your article
  • Start reading


Start Draft (Due Mar 13; 10 points)

  • Post a summary of your intended article (stub) in your sandbox or intended improvements (started article) on the article talk page
  • Continue to polish and expand, seeking feedback from classmates, TA, instructor, and other wikipedia users

Building Your Article (Due May 1; 25 points)

  • Read over the comments from your peer reviewers and any other outside collaborators
  • Make necessary revisions
  • Article should be complete at this point


Reflection & Presentation (Tentatively Due May 5-9; 50 points)

  • You will write a short reflective essay on your experience with the Wikipedia project
  • You will also need to prepare a presentation. This presentation should cover the article you wrote for the project as well as your experience with the process.
