Weekly schedule and deadlines.

  1.   Done W01: 15 SEP - Introduction (DUE 22SEP)
  2.   Done W02: 22 SEP - Account creation & Interactive student training (complete ALL of the three "Basics" modules. Your contributions will record that you have edited sandbox, be bold, talk page tutorial) (DUE 29SEP)
    • 28 accounts created/19 user successfully completed the training (ALL of the three modules).
  3.   Done W03: 29 SEP - Find a topic (Read relevant articles, propose a topic & outline, references and sources of media) (DUE 06OCT)
    • The topic should be relevant to the class (chemicals, reactions, laboratory equipment or Laboratory techniques)
    • The topic should be either a new article or an existing article with "Unassessed", "stub" or "start" classification. See Category:Chemistry stubs for more information.
    • 19 students attempted to propose a topic/12 students successfully passed this stage.
  4.   Done W04: 06OCT - Develop the proposal into the first draft (>=500 bytes) (DUE 13OCT)
  5.   Done W05: 13OCT - First edit/move to article namespace (Wiki mark-up formatting/polishing, shooting for Photo/VDO, Drawing/animation) (DUE 20OCT)
    • A reviewer has been assigned to each student.
    • 10/12 students successfully passed this stage.
  6.   Done W06: 20OCT - Categorization, links to and from the article, appropriate media to help reader understand the article (DUE 27OCT)
    • Specific individual comments are posted on talk page.
    • Meetup
  7.   Done W07: 27OCT - Peer review & Polish the article as suggested by class/community comments (DUE 03NOV)
    • make >=3 edits on classmate article(s).
    • make sure that your contribution to the exiting article is >= 5 sentences AND >=2 references.
    • prepare/improve >= 2 media files for your article.
  8.   Done W08: 03NOV - 10NOV User page creation, article template on talk page, Common file category
    • final clean up and proofreading before grading - see a check list on class LMS.
    • clear outstanding work/issues.
    • thank other editors of your article.
