Article Banners

edit

I've added a section to the course page which provides code for student article banners. Please add this code to the top of the articles you are editing in your sandboxes. Thanks Frankcjones (talk) 14:35, 16 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Common Problems

edit

The two things that most students need to do are:

  1. add the course banner to the talk page of their sandbox articles
  2. create the links between their sandbox and the article they plan to edit

The course banner can be found here on the course page.

The links between their article should be setup to make it easier to engage with the Wikipedia community. There should be an introduction with a link on the talk page of the article they plan to edit. This intro should explain what they are planning and ask for input. The link should point to the article they are working on in their sandbox. From the sandbox, they should have another link on that talk page that points back to the original article on Wikipedia. This way it is easy to switch between the two article and provide feedback about their work.
