I am sure there is a lot more content about what is expect from an admin in other policies. I started with WP:ADMIN because it was the obvious place to get some information on the topic. What have made so far is more of an outline than an essay.

The goal of this essay is to document what policy and guidelines already say about what is expected from an administrator. This essay can be a valuable tool for new and hopeful administrators as well as a tool for people to make a more informed decision at RfA.
