Wikipedia talk:Account deletion

Is it true that user accounts can't be deleted, even if they have no edits? Just to make the question concrete, I'm thinking of the growing number of User:Faethon accounts, many of which were created disruptively. Gazpacho 01:49, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Duplicate accounts?

Hi,

I created an account as 'johnkershaw' which came up as 'Johnkershaw' (cap J).

So I created a new account called 'John Kershaw'.

I realise in retrospect I should've got my account renamed, but now that it's done, how do I get rid of the first 'Johnkershaw' account?

Lost Password

Merge into WP:Username?

This would make a nice little paragraph at the end of WP:Username, don't you think? Suggestions on picking a good username, and a handy "if you stuff up, here's what you can do". Short policies such as this one seem to never get read. Stevage 02:04, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
