Wikipedia:Wikipedia Workshop Mulund, Mumbai

Summary edit

The workshop aims to equip its participants with the rudiments of contributing to Wikipedia, and to introduce Wikipedia as an encyclopaedia and a concept to them. The workshop is free of cost and open to all.

About the workshop edit

The three-hour workshop covers the basics of Wikipedia in theory and practice. There will be a demo of editing Wikipedia pages, a hands-on Wikipedia editing session, and a questions and answers round.

Important information edit

As the workshop involves hands-on learning about editing Wikipedia, participants are required to bring along a laptop, netbook, or tablet.

We are using the English-language Wikipedia to instruct participants. If you don't have an account already, register on Wikipedia using the Create account link before you attend the workshop.

Free Wi-Fi is available at the venue but you are strongly advised to bring a data card/ mobile Internet dongle along.
