Club Updates

edit
  • Our second annual Wikipedia Takes Columbus photography event is starting on Sunday! This is a fun week-long event (April 9 - 16) where we upload photos of Columbus and Ohio State to the Wikimedia Commons and help illustrate our city on Wikipedia. At the end, we determine the top images and the winners get prizes. Be sure to sign up on our event page and/or our Facebook event.
  • In preparation for Wikipedia Takes Columbus, club members have been working to improve Draft:List of buildings at Ohio State University - lots to edit if you're looking for something to work on at our workshop or leading up to our photo event!
  • Our group has received an Honorable Mention for Contributions to CSE from Ohio Station's Department of Computer Science and Engineering! This award is in recognition of our computing outreach events, such as our 'Wikipedia in Your Next Project' presentation with Open Source Club, and our Women in Computing Edit-a-thon] with ACM-W. Great job everyone!
  • We're participating in The 50,000 Challenge! The aim is to make 50,000 article improvements and creations for the United States, and we're only ~2.55% done. Be sure to sign up if you're interested.
