'Wikimedia CEE Spring' is an annual competition, organized by the Wikimedia communities in Central and Eastern Europe, with the aim of creating and developing Wikipedia articles about countries. from the region in all local languages. At the Romanian language Wikipedia, in 2021 this contest is organized for the sixth time.

The 2021 edition takes place between March 21 & ndash; May 31, 2021 inclusive.

The participants in the contest organized by the Romanian Wikipedia write in Romanian about the topics proposed by other communities. In our turn, we also proposed a list of articles related to Romania and the Republic of Moldova, to be written by members of other communities.

Regulation

I. Eligibility and duration

1. & nbsp; Anyone with a Wikipedia account can enter the contest. The organizers cannot collect prizes. In order to be monitored and scored for their work, participants must register by writing their name in the list below.
2. Articles must be written from 2021. Contest closing is scheduled for 2021. The list of winners will be made public no later than 2021.

II. Articles

3. & nbsp; Articles must be about any country or region in Central and Eastern Europe entered in the competition, except Romania and the Republic of Moldova. For inspiration, see list of proposed articles by region, but you don't have to choose articles from there.
4. & nbsp; Articles must comply with the basic standards of the Romanian Wikipedia:

* to be written in Romanian and not to represent automatic translations from other languages;

* represent a notable topic (see Wikipedia: Notability);

* contain verifiable information (see Wikipedia: Verifiability);

* be edited correctly (see Wikipedia: Style Manual);

* not contain text copied from other resources (see Wikipedia: Copyright).

5. & nbsp; Only new articles of at least 200 words in prose (ie except for the infobox, basement, table of contents, tables, lists, etc.) and those that have been extended at least ten times (in bytes) are accepted. Word counting is done with the X tool! Tools, accessible from the page of any article by navigating to History -> authors.

III. Score

6. & nbsp; Participants earn points as follows:

* For each new article written: 5 points + 2 points for every 100 prose words.

* For each extended article at least ten times (refers only to the articles that existed at the beginning of the contest): 2 points for every 100 extra prose words.

* If the article seriously violates the basic standards of Wikipedia (see point 4.), the score previously provided is canceled.

* To record the article by entering the format {{f|Wikimedia CEE Spring 2021}} in its talk page: 1 point.

The format should be used as follows:

7. & nbsp; The jury reserves the right to disqualify any participants if there is at least a reasonable suspicion that they do not show "fair play" - mislead other participants or organizers, publish a series of articles prepared in advance, use clones, etc. .

IV. Premiere

8. & nbsp; A participant can win only one prize, in the order of their listing. For example, the Grand Prize winner can no longer claim any of the following prizes.
9. & nbsp; Prizes will be awarded according to the following criteria (in any draw, draw):
