Begin writing weekly notes about your experiences. You will be adding to this journal (phyical or electronic) every time you see a "Discussion" tab. You can use discussion questions to frame your entries, or reflect on the research and writing process in general. These notes will be used for discussion during class zoom sessions. They do not need to be formal or full sentences, but should be written somewhere (rather than just in your head).

Week 6

- Assignment - Peer review two articles
Guiding frameworkFirst, complete the "Guiding Framework" Training above. Then provide feedback (within their sandbox) of at least two of your classmates' drafts. Attempt first to find an article draft that has not gotten feedback (so that everyone gets at least one peer review). These critiques should be at least two sentences long and point out 1) at least two specific grammatical / syntax / comprehension errors that could be fixed; and 2) a larger organizational or theoretical issue that could improve the contribution. You should be sure to sign them with your handle so that authors would know who to ask for clarification. These are worth 10 points each, and must be done for two different drafts. 25 points total (including the training).
- Assignment - Respond to your peer review
You probably have some feedback from other students, your instructor, and possibly other Wikipedians. Consider their suggestions, decide whether it makes your work more accurate and complete, and edit your draft to make those changes. You must make revisions to the draft. Including the two trainings and exercise (below) this is worth 40 points.

- Assignment - Learning to move your work to Wikipedia
Now that you've improved your draft based on others' feedback, it's time to learn how to move your work live - to the "mainspace." Please complete this training module before class.

- Assignment - Continue improving your article
Now's the time to revisit your text and refine your work. You may do more research and find missing information; rewrite the lead section to represent all major points; reorganize the text to communicate the information better; or add images and other media. Please complete this training module and exercise before class.
- Assignment - Polish your work
Continue to expand and improve your work, and format your article to match Wikipedia's tone and standards. Remember to contact your Wikipedia Expert at any time if you need further help! This assignment requires that you make changes to the draft based on both your own critique of your work and any peer/professor feedback you were given. This assignment is worth 30 points.
