In class - Introduction to the Wikipedia assignment

Welcome to your Wikipedia assignment's course timeline. This page guides you through the steps you'll need to complete for your Wikipedia assignment, with links to training modules and your classmates' work spaces.

Your course has been assigned a Wikipedia Expert. You can reach them through the Get Help button at the top of this page.

Resources:

Assignment - Get started on Wikipedia

Create an account and join this course page, using the enrollment link your instructor sent you. (Because of Wikipedia's technical restraints, you may receive a message that you cannot create an account. To resolve this, please try again off campus or the next day.)

Assignment - Wikipedia assignment blog

Begin a blog. If you have never created a blog, some suggested sites would be tumblr.com, blogger.com, wordpress.com or you can do a web search for "how to create a free blog" (or look at this page: 2526.us/free-blog ).  Create your blog during week 1 and post your impression about the wikiedu project based on your initial training.  If you are not provided with more guidance/direction on Blackboard in the weekly assignment, you will be adding at least one post to your blog each week to reflect on the wikiedu project itself (the training, what you decide to select as your topic, etc.).  For week 2, there will be an assignment to post the URL or address to your blog.
