This class covers a wide range of topics focusing on the exploration of the properties, dynamics and evolution of planetary atmospheres. The class start with a general discussion about atmospheric circulation mechanisms and their influence on weather and climate. The rest of the class will explore planets for which we have important data and results, focusing on gas giants (Jupiter and Saturn), then on Telluric planets (Venus and Mars) and Titan for its similarity to Earth's atmosphere. Mars will occupy a significant portion of the time devoted to telluric planets due to the wealth of data and models applied to its atmosphere. Finally, the last section of the class will focus on exoplanetary atmospheres.
