This course is co-taught by History Prof. Bruce Schulman and Journalism Prof. Chris Daly. We examine the methods, successes and failures of both disciplines by investigating a number of incidents from the American past. In each case, we look at how journalists covered the topic initially, then we look at how historians dealt with the same historic events. In the process, we investigate the dynamics of historical revisionism. For grad students and advanced undergrads.
