The 10 Biggies

edit
  • Always sign your username once you have made a comment on a page. This can be done by adding "~~~~" to the end of the comment.
  • Spread the love! be kind, have fun and love thy wikipedian.
  • Follow all wikipedia and wikiproject wikipedia rules. Rules are rules!
  • Be courteous, don't swear and treat other users as you would like to be treated.
  • Irony isn't always obvious - text comes without expressions, or body language. Be careful of the words you choose!
  • Be prepared to apologize. In animated discussions, we often say things we later wish we hadn't. Say so.
  • Be Encouraging. Give out awards and congratulate people on outstanding contributions. Add a comment to user pages and the praise page
  • Finish the jobs and conclude the discussions you begin. If there's a heated debate, come to a resolution. Do not leave any debate open.
  • Leave no stone untouched in your quest for a perfect article in wikipedia
  • Show your talent - if you are talented in a particular area of wikipedia or are privelaged enough to have an expertise in a specific field, take a look at the talents page
