The Wiki Loves Women's Project Road Map for Team Nigeria is created for planning and reporting of Wiki Loves Women activities in Nigeria. The project meeting will commence in the month of June 2016 with project review on the 27 May 2016 at Goethe Institut Lagos Nigeria.

Project Review edit

The Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria WUGN is expected to review update on Wiki Loves Women on the 27 May 2016 during the Meetup May 2016.

Nigerian Women in Medical/Health Sector edit

Project Meeting with participating partners of Nigeria women in Health and Medical Sector edit 

Action Point

The project meeting is expected to be conveyed among all the identified partners to finalize expectations and roles to be played by each of the participant:

New articles to be created on relevant medical related areas about Nigeria medical women edit

  • Nigerian women living with HIV symptoms
  • Nigerian women living with Tuberculosis
  • Effect of endometriosis in Nigeria women

The project meeting is expected to produce all the topical issues and nomination of notable women in Medicine and Health Sector in Nigeria.

This approach is a bit bordering from an ethical perspective. Keep in mind that only notable women who have publicly indicated having HIV or Tuberculosis may be listed here. I am not convinced this is the best approach. Why not rather talking of the specific situation of women living with tuberculosis in Nigeria rather than trying to identify notable women WITH tuberculosis ? Anthere (talk)

Articles on notable medical women in Nigeria edit

The participating partners are expected to suggest likely notable medical women in Nigeria, the suggested women are to be reviewed by the community to determine their notability.

  • Violence in the home
  • Sexual harassment at school and work
  • Rape and defilement
  • Harsh and punitive widowhood rites
  • Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
  • Forced childhood marriages
  • Sexual violence in conflict situations and during armed robbery attacks
  • Enforcement of gender biased laws
  • Discrimination against the girl-child
  • Disinheritance of wives and daughters
  • Harmful traditional practices
