This page outlines the standard layout for a Chapter or Legion of a Warhammer 40,000 army (for armies that have them such as Chaos and Space Marines).

Introduction

History

Primarch

This section should contain information about the primarch of the chapter/legion e.g. his role in the planet he lived in and then their history continued on as a part of the chapters in the notable events e.g. great crusade, horus heresy.

Notable Events

If there are any notable events (battles, losses, defeats etc...) they should be included each as a subsection of the history section. If the event is itself notable enough to have its own article then it should be summarised here and a link to the main article provided. The title of the section should be the name of the event as described by the canon source.

Organisation

Information should be provided regarding the following (each as a subsection):

• Headquarters
• Recruiting
• Special Information
  • Things in this topic should be provided as subsections of a 'Special Information' type heading.

Combat Indoctrination

This section should provide information about the combat indoctrination methods of the chapter/legion.

Battlecry

Should provide the groups battlecry in the format This is their battlecry! Other information can also be provided, for instance the history of the cry and other cries that have been used.

Appearance

Information should be provided about the chapter colours, emblem and their history. Ideally, this should be summarisable.

Notable Characters

A listing of notable characters

Hopefully all the information should be covered in the above sections. If not, a further 'Further Information' section should be included, with subheadings for each important item of information.
