The Operas of the Month for December all celebrate the 200th anniversary of their premieres this year.
- Rossini's Eduardo e Cristina lacks articles on most members of its premiere cast, especially Carolina Cortesi (pictured) who created the role of Eduardo. The articles on Giovanni Schmidt, who wrote the original libretto, and Andrea Leone Tottola, who adapted it for Rossini, are poorly referenced stubs.
- Spontini's Olimpie whose librettists have articles which need considerable improvement. Charles Brifaut is a stub devoid of inline citations. Michel Dieulafoy is a stub written in poor English and lacks inline citations.
- Meyerbeer's Emma di Resburgo lacks articles on all members of its premiere cast apart from Rosa Morandi which itself could use considerable expansion.
- Donizetti's Il falegname di Livonia needs improved referencing and lacks articles on all members of its premiere cast apart from Giovanni Battista Verger which is referenced to a single source and needs improvement.
