Māori topics are not well covered in Wikipedia articles. Placename translations are usually taken from Reed, which is sometimes wrong. There are plenty of topics to work on.

Plus there's the Arthur Dudley Dobson memorial which has a new article as of February 2022. It's not registered with Heritage NZ (not sure why not?) and it's strictly speaking not located within the West Coast. But it's only a few metres away from the boundary in Selwyn District at Arthur's Pass (the mountain pass; not the village).
