Note, all discussion is to be held on the talk page. This page is simply for listing articles currently defined as a Key article, and for listing new proposals. The actual discussion of proposals is to take place on the talk page.

Current Key articles (can be modified through consensus):

  1. Ethiopia (some culture citations, prose)
  2. Kingdom of Aksum (section into history, archaeology, architecture, culture, etc. & expand a lot)
  3. 1984 - 1985 famine in Ethiopia
  4. Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia
  5. Menelik II of Ethiopia
  6. Languages of Ethiopia (expand to more than a list - i.e. add some text)
  7. People of Ethiopia (i.e. description of ethnicities & ethnic interactions over the centuries - also some genetics and origins discussion)
  8. Geography of Ethiopia (already substantial - some copy-editing can get it to GA or even FA)
  9. Politics of Ethiopia (can discuss historically, from Fetha Negest [also an important and potential GA] to 1931 constitution, centralization, issues w/ feudalism & land reform, up to ethnic federalism today - a lot to talk about)
  10. History of Ethiopia (needs to be trimmed down and made into a more flowing narrative - Solomonic, Gondarine & modern sections need some expansion).
  11. Invasion of Ahmed Gragn
  12. Ethiopian Civil War
  13. Amharic language (+images and expand grammar)
  14. Tigrinya language (+images split off grammar section and summarize)
  15. Great Oromo migration (I've created a skeleton at User:Yom/Oromo migrations to be filled soon)
  16. Battle of Adowa (a lot of background & specific military data to be incorporated);
  17. Yohannes IV of Ethiopia

Less important ones:

    1. Zagwe dynasty
    2. Sabaean invasion hypothesis (theory?)
    3. split Zemene Mesafint from History of Ethiopia, copy-edit & expand
    4. Solomonic dynasty
