Currently, this category is a major mess. I propose that all individual species, genus and so on be regrouped in a subcat category:plants by classification (simialarly to category:people by occupation), and regrouping all national listings into category:plants by distribution, both chils of category:plants, which woul;d only contain things like succulent plant, shrub, or appropriate lists.
I had started to enact a similar system in birds, see, for example, category:Anatidae. Circeus 21:18, July 30, 2005 (UTC)

Category:Neurological disorders edit
I am trying to sort out this very large category (Category:Neurological disorders), with many subcategories that contain supercategories and other problems. I propose to create two parallel sorting schemes for neurologic diseases that can act as metacategories: "Neurological disorders by disease category," and "Neurological disorders by part of nervous system." A separate category for "Neurological symptoms and signs" can contain symptoms such as agnosia and ataxia. Please let me know what you think. --Gccwang (talk) 04:59, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
