- Lead section should be expanded.
- All references should be cited by following the {{cite web}} format.
- A History of the Boston Celtics page should be created and most of the details in the "History" section" should be moved to that page.
- "2007-present: Back to relevance" subsection contains too many details for the main article and should be transferred to the aforementioned 'History of the Boston Celtics' page. Due to the details, this article suffers from WP:RECENTISM.
- "Historical rivalries" section needs to be cited.
- "Uniforms" subsection needs to be cited.
- A Boston Celtics accomplishments and records page should be created and the "High points" section along with the "Retired numbers" section should be moved to that page.
