Photo walk!

Come, let's take photographs of our beloved campus and environs. Isn't it terrible that a culturally significant place like Epe is lacking so much online exposure, beautiful place hidden from the world. The serenity of the waterfalls, the bustle of Ajah, the traffic at Lekki, can you capture that, then yeah!, we neeeeed you. Photographers should come with their own camera( sophisticated phone cameras are also welcomed). Vehicle hire and pizza is on us. You'd also be taught how to upload those fantastic images of yours to commons! leggo.....

Audience:professional student photographer, anybody who can shoot!
Venue: We leave the Arcade by 3pm - the view of the sunset is always very cool isn't it!

Edit-a-thon centred on creating/improving articles about Women in Nigeria

Multiple Nigerian women are notable enough to deserve articles on Wikipedia. While other projects(Women in Red, Wiki Loves Women,...) are attempting to cover the gap, we can also help. Welcome to MediaWiki(developing for open source)

Enthusiastic to contribute to MediaWiki, the software that powers all of Wikimedia project and thousands more, then come join us. This is going to be a remote hackathon getting all the helps we can from our colleagues at AWMD. Mahveotm is the lead for Developers in Nigeria and would be assisted remotely by Alangi Derrick - who looks forward to having this meeting! Essentially, this first meetup would be introduction to AWMD/Opensource/MediaWiki, setting up your machine locally and trouble shooting.

WikiData, the next big wiki thing! You know about Wikipedia, probably created an article or 2, but do you know about WIKIDATA............. Come join us, w'd be talking about Wikidata, and several people will do the talking, thanks to a conference last year some individuals were selected to attend.
