In partnership with Lead SA, WikiAfrica and m:Wikimedia South Africa conducted a two-day training event with young South Africans from Sinenjongo High School and LeadSA's Future Leaders programme.

Activates writers, experts, journalists, academics and archival organisations to bring African culture and knowledge to Wikipedia.

Activates GLAMs through Share Your Knowledge.

30,000 African contributions to Wikipedia - images and texts - by 2012 thanks to editors and GLAMs involved within Share Your Knowledge.

A course on Public Culture in Africa in collaboration with Curate Africa, where students curate photographs from Africa around a theme, and as part of their course work add articles specific to the subject of their preferred topic or on photographers from Africa. The theme for 2013 is Notions of Play in Africa.
