Original - The Blue-and-yellow Macaw is a member of the group of large Neotropical parrots known as macaws. It breeds in forest of tropical South America from Trinidad and Venezuela south to Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, and Paraguay.

Reason: Very nice image of bird in the wild. Educational and possibly rarely captured flying position. Some sharpness issues would prevenet it become FP, but is fully satisfactory for illustrating the article in a very compelling way.
