Wikipedia:Successful requests for permission/Hudson's Hope, BC

The District of Hudson's Hope granted Wikipedia use of its street map used in the tourist brochure Hello North. This is the image: Image:Hudson's Hope BC map.PNG. This is the email I received from them confirming this permission:

Jodi:

The District of Hudson’s Hope has no objection to the use of the map by Wikipedia. Due to our large geographic area, this map only shows the “townsite” portion, but that is probably what most people are interested in.

I noticed that our time zone is shown as MST, which is correct now, but as you know, being a Dawson Creek resident, there will be a switch to PST when the rest of Canada changes their clocks.

Bill Lindsay,
There is a street map of Hudson's Hope in the Hello North tourist guide to northeastern BC. I wish to use that map for an article on the District of Hudson's Hope on a website here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hudson%27s_Hope%2C_British_Columbia

The copyright information says to contact Robin Graham at RG Strategies for permission to use the images. She informed me that I actually require the District's permission for this image.

So, I request permission to use the above referenced image on the above noted webpage. The copyright agreement (GNU Free Documentation License) for images on this site can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_GNU_Free_Documentation_License. The implication of the agreement is that the image may be downloaded from the website and used freely in publications.

An example of how the map will be used in the article can be found at Chetwynd's article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chetwynd%2C_British_Columbia

If the copyright license is not acceptable, then is there another, more basic, map that can be used under this license? The purpose of the image is to show the street layout and locations of major features of the community. As such, street names and some features are not essential.

Thank you for your time on this.
